I had no idea Bupa was involved in aged care despite being medically insured by them. As an 80-year-old, our generation often fears aged care. However, the level of care at Bupa Merrimac for their 90 residents, each with different needs, is phenomenal. The food is freshly cooked, with an endless variety that is always hot and delicious. Maggie Beer would give their range of food a tick of approval. The open dining areas, lounges, and outside spaces are wonderful. You can hear staff singing and laughter in the air, creating a lovely atmosphere to share with family and friends. There’s a whole range of activities depending on your interests, making it easy to stay engaged and entertained. I couldn’t recommend Bupa Merrimac more highly. Bruce

My mother Tessie has been with Merrimac Bupa for over 7 years now and I am very happy with how my mum is being cared for! Knowing that she is safe and treated with kindness eases my mind knowing she is in good hands. It didn’t take long before mum was referring to where she lived as home. The staff are friendly, they keep you up to date on what’s happening and there are lots of activities for them to do. Thank you for caring for my mum. I am so grateful to all of you who have been there for her. 💜💜💜💜💜
Our loved ones have resided at Bupa Mt Sheridan for 9 years since 2015. They have loved their experience there with wonderful engaging activities available every day. The nursing staff are compassionate and understanding and take care in providing each individuals personal needs. We would highly recommend Bupa Mt Sheridan nursing home to your loved ones for care you cannot provide yourself.
Re Bupa Merrimac - Much praise to all the hardworking staff who endeavour to be friendly and cheerful in assisting the residents. They really make a difference. The food is good and nourishing. The only down side of this facility is there is no wifi accessible in the lower building due to bad reception. This makes it difficult to ring the patient or for them to ring us, unless they get help to go to the office and use their landline which can only be used for brief calls. This is a bit isolating for both parties. However the positives outweigh the negatives in this facility .
My sister and I trusted Bupa Merrimac as the new home for both our parents. Dad was 93 and sadly is no longer with us but mum remains at Merrimac. I visited mum every day for the 2 weeks I was in Australia and although I was sad to leave, I was comforted that she was in the best hands. EVERY one of the staff at Merrimac has shown themselves to be caring, kind-hearted people with a passion for the difficult work they do. I thank them all for taking good care of my dear mother. Hopefully I'll will be able to visit again soon.
