My husband was admitted to Bupa Baulkham Hills a few months ago. The admission process was very efficient, and all my enquiries and apprehensions were handled quickly and sensitively by Medha Kaushik, the excellent Customer Service Manager. My husband has settled in well in one of the memory support units where he receives a very good level of care, from the GP, the Care Manager, the RNs, and all the carers and support staff. I am constantly impressed with, and grateful for their professionalism and attention to detail.

My family member is a resident of the Baulkham Hills facility. Overall the standard of care is good for my family member who depends on a wheelchair for their mobility. The room is very comfortable - private bathroom and lovely view - very well maintained. Once the care staff know the resident they are very responsive to their needs and have a caring approach. The Registered Nurses are good and do monthly reports on the resident - the reports are sometimes missing details but are quickly rectified. At times there is a delay in receiving medication or specific care requests - mostly due to few staff or their time is very stretched. Incontinence pads and body wipes are regularly supplied but can be in low supply. The food is tasty most of the time but could be improved. Sometimes the food is basic. The management is very responsive to residents feedback - complaints are acknowledged but limited action may be taken. It is important management looks after the care staff as they work very hard to provide a good standard of care for residents. English may not be the first language for some of the care staff so there can be communication problems at times, however any issues can be quickly resolved. The care staff have good intentions. Reception provides very good support in solving everyday issues and questions. Some TVs need to be updated and only operate internet tv with a set top box. The facility has a good ambience - bright and airy with outdoor gardens and areas to sit. Residents range from just having limited mobility to others needing palliative care. The coordinated activities are very well organized and inclusive of all residents. Sometimes more independent residents will coordinate their own social activities in small groups. It is a clean and well organized care facility and manages any health outbreaks efficiently. Parking on site or on the street is regularly available. I highly recommend Bupa Baulkham Hills to new residents.
My wife was admitted to Baulkham Hills BUPA in early August this year. Diagnosed in January of 2024 with vascular dementia. My aged care arranged for a level 4 home care package in April assisted by Salvation Army home care team. They were a great assistance to us. Unfortunately in July Doreen had a fall at home resulting in a bleed on the brain. Following admission to BUPA another fall caused more issues. I can only say that the care and support we received from all staff and management was exceptional. The RN and nursing staff could not be more caring and supportive. My eldest son and I visited every day, as did Doreen’s younger brother. Unfortunately Doreen suffered a stroke and passed away on the 2nd November. Even then the staff have continued to stay in contact and provide support. I cannot speak too highly of this organisation and recommend them every time. Kenneth
The staff at Bupa Aged Care Baulkham Hills are incredibly professional, compassionate, and attentive. They go above and beyond to ensure the residents are comfortable and well cared for. It is a fantastic facility that prioritizes the well-being and happiness of its residents. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking quality care for their loved ones. The staff's dedication and the exceptional amenities make it a truly special place!
Very pleased with the professionalism and care provided by staff towards the residents and their families. Special ‘thank you’ to Kathleen from the Wellbeing team for going above and beyond ( Eg: answering calls, after her working hours) to help mum settle into her new room. Will not hesitate to recommend BUPA, Castle Hill to others.
