101 Cottage Creek Cir, Greer, SC 29650, United States
My husband has been in Brushy Creek rehab for two and a half weeks. I slept in his room on a cot the whole time. He received really excellent care there. The nurses were all very competent and nice. The CNA's were competent and on the whole had great attitudes. The NPs and PT and OT staff members were competent and great to work with. The food was excellent. They are sometimes understaffed, but I'm sure are trying to remedy this. I think this is a common problem in this field. I believe today that a family member should be present as much as possible for any patient in a hospital or rehab center so that one person can hear it all. We would definitely use this facility again. We were in the Crepe Myrtle Cottage.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. DO NOT send your loved ones here unless you want them mistreated and neglected. They are severely understaffed but deny it. 1 RN for several villages doesn't cut it with medically fragile individuals. The nursing staff ALWAYS has an attitude. My mom was receiving her meds and told the nurse she forgot her eyedrops. The nurse's response was "I'll come back. You're not the only person here." When my family asked to speak to the nurse the day my mom checked in, she ignored us for over a hour, told us she had other people to see, then disappeared. We've had to correct them several times about the proper medication and frequency until they got it right. My mom is to receive breathing treatments 3x/day. She received it 1x yesterday and none at all today- it's now 2pm. Be prepared to advocate and/or argue every day. Your loved ones deserve much better than this place could ever provide.
My mom was there for rehab due to immobility from a fall. The therapists were great and actually helped with basic things the nursing staff should have done after multiple requests. Nurses and CNA’s are hot or miss, mostly miss with attitudes and smart mouths. The food was horrible, only b pancake and grits or just grits and sausage for breakfast. Mom only received eggs or breakfast meat twice in three weeks. Severely understaffed and nurses complained they were taking care of two cottages during a shift. This place needs to be investigated!
My mother was admitted to this facility several years ago. She was totally neglected the entire time. Her clothes smelled like urine and had to be thrown away, her food tray was placed beside her bed although she could not feed herself and could not sit up in bed. It was during Covid and visitors were not allowed in. My family & I camped outside her window every day to watch her and oversee her care as much as possible - still didn't help. Her lack of care here was the beginning of the end for her. After I eventually signed her out early and asked her doctor to have her discharged for obvious reasons, we discovered bed sores you would not believe and had to bathe her several times to get her clean. I would encourage anyone to find another facility for their loved one. The decision to take her there was the biggest regret of my life.😭 Shame on a society that allows this, and devalues the elderly/those who are ill and require care. To here that NOTHING has changed breaks my heart. The state should close this place.
I was just there to recover from a stroke, discharged yesterday. 9 out 10 people I worked with there were fantastic. The only exception was Lenisha, the alleged social worker for my building. She did not seem like she wanted to be there, and when it came time to get the little bit of equipment I needed as I left, she told me I didn’t need a bed, and SHE didn’t think I would qualify for it, thank GOD, my physical therapist, Ashley, helped me work around her. Because of that I was able to sleep on a bed instead of a couch when I got where I was going. But the facility itself is fantastic.
