Outstanding!!! ... That's all I can say. From the minute we arrived until today everyone from the staff right down to the Director has been nothing but kind, caring and attentive assuring us right from the start this was the place for our dad. No matter what time we show up for visits, everything is always so clean and fresh it makes us happy we chose Forest View to look after our family. 👍👍

Terrible place!!!!!. Refused to tell me when mom went hospital, had surgery, was sent to rehab center following a serious fall. Refused to tell me WHERE she was taken, no hospital name, no rehab center name. When she could not breathe, they Did not notify me she was taken to hospital. They did not notify me when mom died or that she was unable to breathe when she left their care!!! My mom died ALONE because of them! Had a Stipulated Protective Order signed by a Judge And they would not abide by that order to include me in my mom’s major medical decisions and placement and flat out refused to tell me her medical conditions. I called multiple times when she was “not feeling well” and they refused to let me talk to her and refused to tell me what was wrong with her. She died the next day.
When I showed up to visit, my mom, staff told me she was taken to the hospital after a fall. But they refused to tell me where she was taken or anything about her current status. I asked to speak to the manager and she threatened to call the police if I did not leave the building!!! She refused to tell me where my mom was too!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! My brother put her in this disgusting place without my knowledge, and even after I provided Forestview with a court order showing I was entitled to know about my mom's healthcare and obviously her whereabouts they still refused to comply. Her room was disgustingly dirty. We found all kinds of debris on the sink in the bathroom on the floors on the walls. Her bedding and her clothes were soiled when we came to visit her. We had to tell the staff they needed to clean her up on more than one occasion, and to clean her room up on every occasion. She fell multiple times at this facility and their solution was to put her in a wheelchair bound room, and when she was in there to remove her walker. So she fell in her own room and smashed her head and broke her hip because she had no way to get to the bathroom and nobody was answering her calls to help her. This place needs to be investigated by the state of Michigan and closed. They do not care about their residents!!! They treat them like they're not even human!!! Within a year of her fall, she had passed away from being wheelchair, bound for the rest of her life. The large contusion on her head remained for the rest of her life from that fall.
I have been extremely disappointed with the level of professionalism and communication at Forestview. Reaching anyone by phone is next to impossible—calls are rarely answered, and messages are often ignored. After countless attempts, when you finally do get through to someone, you’re told that administration is “never available” to speak with residents or families. This lack of accessibility and accountability is unacceptable, especially in a facility that is supposed to provide a caring and supportive environment. The unprofessionalism from the administration is not only frustrating but also deeply concerning. I cannot recommend Forestview until they address these serious issues.
Wonderful facility. Highly recommend. Staff is absolutely great with my dad. We have had such a great experience! Thank you for all you do.
