I would recommend Brookmeadow at Blue Hills Community after observing the care, concern and quality of staff my loved one has benefitted from there. Transitions are challenging, the staff has been outstanding with accommodations to help ease with the transition, communicate with extended family and helping our loved one feel welcome and comfortable. The amenities, activities and experiences outside the site are varied and expansive, the staff is caring and kind. Responsive, warm, friendly, accommodating and caring-the right choice for my loved one.

Our family appreciates all that the Arbors had to offer Mom while she was there. Everyone there was so helpful and kind to her and to us. We have nothing but accolades for the Arbors; Very personable, employees working together as teams, encouraging our loved ones, caring for them, offering creative activities. The services such as the hair salon, and podiatrist coming in as well as the wonderful nurses they have on staff made our life easier as well. We enjoyed using the Pub last year for the family to celebrate Mom’s 96th birthday. During her stay Mom had some favorite Aids, many went above and beyond. The office manager, Courtney was so pleasant and always available to answer our questions. Linda & Casandra at the front desk become our friends. The facility and apartments were bright and everything kept very clean. Laundry and bedding was laundered every week. The Maintenance guys were on the ball, quick to respond, competent, and very pleasant. The only issue we had was sometimes with the food. Understandably it is difficult to please everyone as everyone has different preferences. The Chef tried to accommodate and tweak the menu if possible. The director, Pattie Ricketts was very caring. Pattie would go to Mom's apartment, talk and visit with her from time to time. It was a nice personal touch, a listening ear, she would problem solve, encourage, she has a fun personality. In my opinion Pattie is very good at her job, I could tell she likes her job and that makes all the difference. Mom passed away so we are no longer there but I certainly recommend the Arbors in Stoughton to any one who is looking for a place for their loved ones. I felt it was the perfect size, offered the nicest apartment space (very spacious) and the price reasonable. Mom was at Linden Ponds in Hingham before going to the Arbors. I would say that the Assisted Care offered at Linden Ponds (for a lot more money) was definitely NOT as nice as what the Arbors in Stoughton had to offer. Our family is very grateful that Mom got to be with the Arbors family for two years, it was a lovely living situation, perfect for what our family needed.
My mother-in-law, Helen, resided at The Arbors at Stoughton for 18 months in the "Reflections" memory care unit. Helen felt safe and content there, all her cares were met by the wonderful aides and staff. They are all so kind and understanding! The care is compassionate and The Arbors is a happy place with lots of smiles from everyone working there. There were interesting fun activities, music and craft projects. It was the perfect place for Helen.
My mother-in-law has been at The Arbors for 6 months, and she couldn't be happier. She has the opportunity to be involved in the various wonderful activities designed to keep mind, body and spirit active. There are a great variety of things to do, from daily exercise, art, music, quizzes, specific social interaction with other residents programs, and more. She loves going to the dining room for meals - which are nourishing, tasty and pleasantly presented. Recently there was a small outbreak of the Covid virus. The family was immediately notified of the actions being taken to assist those infected, and those who were not to continue to be protected. It was handled very professionally, and resolved by very caring management and staff, as quickly as possible. Overall this particular Assisted Living has everything to offer her, and at 92 she is so much more engaged than she could ever be living at home.
My mother has been at the Arbors for three years and it’s been an excellent living arrangement for her as someone who is mostly independent but needs some assistance and rides to shops etc. There are numerous daily activities that keep her interested and several excursions to interesting and fun places such as whale watching. She likes the food and her apartment is a good size with a small kitchen. The entertainment is excellent, typically weekly, and there is a movie every night which my mom enjoys. There is a weekly book club. The staff is very professional and caring, especially the activities directors who get to know each resident and tailors activities specifically for them when possible.
