I felt very comfortable leaving my mother at the Brookings home. The home is clean and well run. They have a cook that makes healthy and good meals. My mom is not always the easiest person to deal with so I appreciated the patience the majority of staff showed her. Would recommend!!
It is with utter confidence that I, and our family, recommend Brookings Senior Living. Our loved one was here for 4 months. Not only was he cared for and respected through his final time on earth; our family was embraced and included at every turn. The level of attention to detail and communication was amazing. Brookings was absolutely the best in care for my aunt. Not only do the residents all get one on one care, they are made to feel special. The atmosphere makes you feel everyone is family. With only about 10 residents, and plenty of caregivers who all have great compassion and love to give, everyone is very well cared for. It's not just about caring, it's also about getting residence involved in games, or coloring or just relaxing watching television. The house is immaculate with individual bedrooms and comfy beds with their own television in their room. The backyard is beautiful with a fountain and very peaceful. We used Maggie's hospice care for my aunt. They are also fantastic and are always available 24/7 making sure my aunt was always comfortable to the end. Again, very compassionate and caring people. If you want your loved one to have the very best, bring them to Brookings!
The Brookings Senior Living exceeded our expectations for the quality of care and professionalism working with my mother. Lanae and Brent were accommodating and encouraging of my mother in being herself. She was a talker. They were patient in listening to her stories and taking an interest in her life. This alone meant so much to her along with providing peace of mind to my brother and me knowing that she was in a good place. The Brookings team worked well with Hospice. They kept the lines of communication open with my brother and me. Lanae called with the eventual inevitable news. She is professional, polite and sympathetic to our situation. She went above and beyond sharing a tidbit about how my mother had impact on her life and facing the next steps. I will remember that conversation. Thank you Brookings for providing peace to my family during a challenging time. It is appreciated.
