My sister moved into Brookeville House in 2016, having a diagnosis of Early-Onset Alzheimer's. One of the challenges I faced was her age, as I learned that some assisted living facilities had restrictions. Brookeville did not and it was stressed that this facility was not a "home" but a house. If you have ever looked at assisted living/nursing homes, you will know the difference. She was encouraged to participate in cooking and other activities, and made to feel as if it was her own place. The care she received was stellar. I was always updated on anything that was occurring with her, and during the COVID shutdown, they made telephone visits and zoom options available, and were the first to close in their quest to protect their residents. The staff was attentive and caring. The house was always clean and inviting, with a fireplace utilized during cold weather. That little touch helped enhance the warmth of this place, as well as the large yard, which was always well maintained. As time went on, my sister required more supervision and care, which they provided flawlessly. Eventually hospice became involved and that was coordinated by Jennifer and the staff, staying in touch with me to the end. I was lucky to have found this establishment.

BH3…. Great place and nice environment. Genuinely, the house, residents and staffs feels like family. I love working at that house, they always get a treat 🙂and it makes the residents so so happy. There’s never a dull moment especially when they all come together to play Bingo game.
My husband suffered what turned out to be a severe stroke in March 2016. After 6 weeks in the ICU, 100 days in a Rehab facility, then transferred to a LTC facility, where the monthly rate was $13,000 a month, I had to explore other options for him. Brookeville House No. 3 was on the point of opening. At first I was rather dismayed that SO much of the food was pre-packed, frozen....very little fresh food. That is now changing, to my (and others' ) relief. The caregivers are very kind and sociable. The kitchen area gets VERY noisy sometimes, to the extent that the noise of clattering pots & pans and loud talking drowns out the sound of the TV. There are two TVs in fairly close proximity to each other. One of them is kept extremely loud, which hinders the sound comfort level of the other. The house is kept very clean, but some of the furniture placed in his room has seen better days. The owner has never once called me to ask if everything is going OK, which I found rather disappointing. Laundry could be done better, I sometimes find my husband wearing someone else's clothes. I've very rarely seen any activities taking place for the residents. Also, the brochure talks about "monthly family dinners", but if any have been held in House No. 3, I haven't been made aware of them. The house itself is in a pleasant location, has a large deck, although maneuvering a wheelchair through the door onto the deck can be problematic. Some things could be better, but the environment is not institutional, as so many facilities of this nature are. I guess nowhere is perfect!

Waoh!!! What a beautiful place. It's a place where people do not want to miss. This enviroment is clean and well arranged coupled with the fact that excellent staff are on ground 24/7. The management team too are uncomparable. I recommend this place if you want the best of the best services.
