I was an associate here at Brook dale. The work environment is quite hostile amongst the care and management associates. There is a frequency of fighting and conflict in this workplace and has been addressed multiple times but still is present and not resolved. The first month it was smooth but as I started to pay closer attention I realized the high level of disrespect and disorganization. I rarely ever talk down at a work environment knowing everyone has different experiences but this is just.. I have no more words. I am very disappointed. And as someone who is a reliable hard worker… I feel/felt very taken advantage of. Every associate I have worked with there (caregivers,med techs) all agree with this and it saddens me that they are still biting their tongues and dealing with the unfair treatment. There is no need for my concerns to be clarified when I just got the clarity myself working here. I’ve seen it and I’ve been in it. If I were you, I wouldn’t work here.

We had to move my Uncle from Arizona to an assisted living facility. My brother and I looked at 5 places. Brookdale became his home. We were greeted and introduced to the facility by Shannon. She really made us feel we made the right choice. Spent lots of time with us and was very accommodating. Everyone there is very sweet and watches out for your loved one. We are very happy with our decision so far, it's been 3 months 😊
The Memory care staff, the residents, and resident families bring such a positive vibe to this location! Every month the huge turnout of families to the special party events is fantastic. The management team cares about continuing to make this memory care community better and better. Lastly the support of the Troy Police department (especially Officer Polkey), Troy High School, and the amazing Troy Chamber of Commerce make this a place that is respected and treasured by the Troy community. Definitely a place to consider when a loved may be needing a memory care community.
We have both parents at Brookdale. One is in assisted and one in memory care! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I appreciate the care they receive. Dad had to go to rehab for a bit and Shannon delivered him a nice card from the gang and a celebratory Veterans achievement gift. Made his day (except he missed out on PIZZA)!!! Kudos to Brookdale❤️
Shannon, the social worker, is exceptional at ensuring the residents have everything they need to feel at home from the moment they arrive. The entire staff is incredibly caring, making this transition for my mother as smooth and comfortable as possible.
