Once my wife and I retired, we discussed Independent Living as a place to live. In particular the all-inclusive aspects. Our primary focus was on the “feel” of each place we toured I.e. did the facility have a family feeling or did you feel like a number. Other Independent living facilities were nice, but Brookdale Tamarac Square stood out. The building is not too small or too big. Most residents know each other’s name, and the apartments tend to have larger square footage with large closets. I urge everyone who is considering independent living, to look closely to Brookdale Tamarac Square. Finally, my wife and I have been living at Brookdale Tamarac Square for the last 6 months and are very happy. We are fulfilling all those things we wanted to do in retirement.

My parents 89 and 90 have been at Brookdale Tamarac for quite a while now. The staff is amazing, from the Director Virginia, front desk, all the managers all the way to the kitchen and cleaning staff all efficient kind and always there when you need them. I can’t say enough for every aspect of living at Brookdale. My 90 yr old Dad fell and was taken by ambulance where he spent 12 days in the hospital then to rehab for another 3 weeks. This staff surrounded my Mom with compassion and support making sure she was good, after 69 years of marriage she really needed this and she sure got it at Brookdale. Can’t recommend Brookdale Tamarac enough if you need a great place to live.
Our company Moves With a Heart has helped numerous happy clients move into Brookdale Tamarac Square. I'm impressed with the caring staff and welcoming environment! On move in day, representatives from different departments (dining, activities, etc.) make it a point to visit and welcome thier new resident. Virginia and everyone involved with a move in are a pleasure to work with!
My dad had a fall a couple of weeks ago, and the staff at Brookdale Tamarac were AMAZING!! They coordinated the ambulance and helped my mother adjust to life without him while he was in the hospital. I was especially impressed with Tori, who managed to get a landline hooked up in the room that my mother could use, and with Ebony, the front desk person who managed the emergency care. Whenever I've had a question or needed to arrange a new service, Virginia (the manager) has been super helpful and friendly. They really treat the residents here like family. Can't recommend this place highly enough!
Except for the dining experience Brookdale Tamarac Square is a lovely place to live. You will find the entire staff warm and friendly and the residents welcoming and equally friendly and eager to know you.
