When my mom began at Brookdale Rosehill, she could walk with a walker and had home health PT at home and was improving. After entering this facility my mom is now bedridden and can barely get up from her wheelchair at all. All this to say that after falling and injuring herself one week and then somehow losing a front tooth the next, they had the audacity to call and give us 48 hours notice that they were dismissing her because “she had so greatly improved”. (What a lie) Again. She now can’t get up and is missing a tooth. But ok? And they will make sure to tell you repeatedly how “we TOLD you we had to give 48 hr. notice by law and that’s what we did” as if that somehow is enough time to figure out a place to live for your loved one? Please… And if you call and get ahold of Rita, God help you.

My grandma came here after breaking her hip and having surgery at Shawnee/Advent. She was told she would need 30 days of rehab but has been there a little over a week, and they are sending her home. My grandma is a very active woman at 85, so I understand her recovering quickly, but the story has changed day to day. They told her she could be discharged after 10 hours of PT but had only had 3. She started waking the halls herself to get things moving when they did not come get her for PT. I agree with previous posts that they are very neglectful and I also will tell the insurance to ask for an itemized list of what they are charging because they did not provide any of the care deemed necessary from the hospital. She was told to change her bandage daily, and it had been 3 days since it had been changed. She had seeping and had to ask several times the third day and was ignored. If anything happens to my grandmother after being released, either an infection or otherwise, I plan to report this place to FSMB for negligence. Do not send your love ones here.
My friend lived at Brookdale Rosehill... she recently passed away but I had to write a review to sing the praise of the staff in the assisted living Bldg B. The nursing director, KB, Tammy and Kelsey have been amazing. I could not recommend this facility more highly.
I was there late March and early April! I had need replacement surgery and i have MS! I sent an 3 1/2 page evaluation. No one reached out to talk about my experience I had at this facility. It was absolutely HORRIBLE!! NEVER will I ever go back!!! I better off going home!!!! I did not feel safe at this facility!!
My mother was here for a month and then we moved her to another facility so she could ideally get more rehab hours in elsewhere. There were some positives: she liked the food, and there were a handful of staff that were really good to her. Their case manager was also very good to work with. The issue however came to their inconsistency of staffing. Sometimes pills were delivered hours late. She also required two aides to move her which meant she had to anticipate at least thirty minutes before she’d want out of bed. Her last few days there were very bad-waiting hours if certain staff wasn’t on shift to help. If they got admissions at night she’d also be waiting hours, often times in soiled undergarments. They also somehow damaged two of her toenails using a lift that I had to be notified of by a family member and not the facility. They are also short staffed on housekeeping. I’d see med cups or trash sitting on her floor for days. They do have some good staff here but you can tell they’re getting burnt out by the bad and/or leadership. On my mother’s last day an agency nurse working told her she should be glad she’s getting out of there. I couldn’t with a good conscious recommend this location.
