The memory care unit at Brookdale River Valley is wonderful. We had a very hard transition for my mom who was living independently before moving to memory care, but after a few months she's totally used to the place and loves it! She's gained weight, gets mental stimulation and has developed great relationships with the caregivers. She loves to tell people about how many friends she has now. Shout out to Michael, Sky, Marissa, Jenny, and all the care givers for the wonderful care they give. My mom is playing games and doing artwork which she would have never done before moving in. She's a whole new person. I do wish the food was better as it's the one thing my mom does not like at the facility, but other than that it's the best decision we ever made.

I couldn't be happier with how my Mom is doing since she moved in. She was apprehensive about the move but she's settling in, making friends and enjoying her new apartment. I am so happy with the professionalism of each and every employee at Brookdale. We are always greeted with a smile and happy greeting from the moment we enter the door. It's a HUGE difference for us as well as for Mom. She is loving the care including the meals in the cafeteria with her new friends, the housekeeping and the laundry. Thank you all for everything you do.
Brookdale is a wonderful community that is clean, caring, encouraging. They always greet everyone with a smile, always make you feel welcomed. If there is something wrong they contact the family, this is the best place we found for our family member.
I made a huge mistake and gave my information to A Place of Mom. A Place of Mom gave Brookdale my information. This has resulted in months of phone calls, texts, and emails, even though I have repeatedly insisted that they stop contacting me as I already found placement for my dad. Today I told A Place for Mom that I would let the public know about these tactics if they contacted me even once more, and a few hours later I get an email from Brookdale and A Place for Mom trying to convince me to move my dad there. THIS HAS TO STOP! I feel completely harassed by their tactics and would never consider them based on the way they do not respect my simple request to have them stop contacting me. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR INFORMATION!
It was a heartbreaking realization that my mother was no longer able to care for herself. Fortunately, after interviewing and touring multiple assisted living facilities, I found Brookdale River Valley Tualatin. The staff is wonderful, responsive, and take great care of my mother. I know she is safe and in great hands.
