This place is totally horrible. My mom was here for 3 years. They do not do what you pay them for. You pay extra for certain things to be done and they do not do them. Special instructions are not relayed shift to shift. There is no communication. They don't seem to care what the families have to say. In fact, they RESENT you questioning being an advocate for your family member. Once the resident passes away they throw away any mail coming in. They promised to hold the mail but they don't. If I could do it over I would NEVER have let my mom stay here. They are just after the money.

My parents were at Brookdale from December 2016 until my mother passed away December 2023. Over that time, I had an outstanding relationship with the staff and management. Both of my parents were in good hands. The staff was cheerful, polite, and easy to talk with concerning their care. The facility is well maintained, and there were plenty of activities. Care staff, social workers, hospice care were all in contact with me on a regular basis. They were also more than willing to answer any questions I had and we had open conversations regarding their care and health status.
I have great respect for the staff at Brookdale. They care for my mother in a very friendly, professional, and caring way. They keep me informed of her condition and treatment plans. The facility is clean, and well kept. Brookdale has many activities for the residents many of which involve the community. I do highly recommend Brookdale.
My mother stayed at Brookdale Pinnacle from 4/5/23 to 4/28/23, a total of 25 days at a agreed rate of $304.75 per day. In fact, the original rate was $251 however it was increased to include a community fee (a fee charged to permanent residents). Therefore total invoice should have been $7,618.75. So why did I receive a invoice for $26,143.49 that included month of May? The initial agreement I made with Joan Tennereilli was mother needed to stay at least 3 weeks and she stayed 4 more days (and she actually left early in morning on April 28). In addition, we were already paying almost 3 times as much as permanent residents since it was for an insurance claim. To top that my siblings and I was there everyday through the day taking care of mother. And my brother stayed most nights and we also had cameras placed in her room. I have emailed and requested Joan to send a corrected invoice and I have not heard back from her nor business manager Devin whom I also called and left messages. I have letter signed by Rainy Pierce, Executive Director with daily amount of 304.75 for my mother that insurance agreed to pay. I do not like dishonesty in businesses or their employees. Devin or Rainy you need to send me a corrected invoice. I was referred to Brookdale Pinnacle from A Place for Mom and I’m sure they would be concern about how Brookdale is handling (or not) this matter.
Brookdale is a great place! My grandma lives here and I have been around several different communities and this by far is the best. It’s clean, the staff is friendly and cares for her well, and there are a lot of activities to keep her busy. I highly recommend!
