We feel so lucky to have found Brookdale North Boulder! It’s a perfect fit for my dad, who needed more care than independent living, but wasn’t sure if he was ready to make the move. The EO, Matthew, was amazing with my dad, listening and helping make the move possible on Dad’s timeline. The whole staff has been so kind and have really helped him feel welcome. It’s a happy and inviting place, and I love that there are more services available if/when he needs more help. Our family likes going there, and there are plenty of events and things to do. Dad loves the food, and has had a lot more energy and less anxiety since he moved in.

I want to recommend Brookdale North Boulder to anyone looking for an independent living community. I have been working with Bailey and Brookdale North Boulder is first class and I have spoken to both staff and residents and if I could give a higher rating than 5 stars I would. It is truly the place to be in Boulder Colorado.
My mom has lived here for 10 years. She loves the staff although they are constantly changing. Services are better when the occupancy level is up. Current ED is earnest and caring. The best we’ve seen in a while! It’s the community that is the most important. And my mom is a the core of it!
I was interested in moving to a new independent senior facility so my daughter called Brookdale North to inquire about their availability and pricing. She talked with the sales manager and was told they were running a special for the month of October on several of their apartments. She emailed my daughter all the available units and the discounted prices. We decided to meet with her and tour the property. I was leaning towards one of the apartments and was told that I would need to commit by the end of October because the special pricing. We left Brookdale so we could discuss my options in more detail. Later that day, I reached out to the sales manager to inquire about a couple of concerns I had about the cost of the community fee and a potential increase in rent starting January 2024. I asked if they could discount the community fee slightly and not raise my rent by more than 1% in January. I felt that this was fair since I would have only been there a few months. She stated that she would ask and get back to me as soon as possible. She called back and said they approved my request and even guaranteed me that my rent would not increase at all in January. She encouraged me to put in my notice so I could get some money back from my current lease. I decided to take the apartment and I made an appointment to sign the lease. When we met the sales manager to sign the paperwork, she and her manager told us that the unit I was interested in was not discounted at the rate she had quoted. In fact, it would be an extra $312.50 per month instead of what she had put in writing. To make matters worse, there would be not break on the community fee and the rent would increase 7% in January. I felt my stomach sink. I had given my notice to move and they had already started showing my apartment. The sales manager and her boss said they were so sorry but they could not get the corporate office to approve the rent discount or any of the other requests. Why did they tell me previously that they had approval? I told them I could be out of a home because they were actively showing my current apartment to several people on a wait list. They said they would reach out again to the corporate office to see if they could make it work. Not luck, I was a victim of the old bait and switch. I think they thought I would agree to the new price and desperately comply with all of their terms. I have come to look at this as a blessing because any senior living that could do this to someone would not be a place I would want to live. Shame on them for treating people this way. You would think that a place that specialized in senior living would never treat someone as they did me.
The staff at Brookdale are truly passionate about their work and the community they offer. Upon first walk through of the building it is clear how much pride is taken to provide a clean, safe, and comfortable residence. Management staff is always available when needed.
