We are very disappointed. I came down and had a tour and got all the information I thought I needed to move my grandmother in here. I came back (out of state) and discussed with our family how I thought this was the one. I called and spoke to 3 different people all transferring me the leasing office where I left messages trying to fill out paperwork and get her ready to move. This last time I called I left a message with the front office staff and it's now been several months. If they refuse to call you back before you even move in, that must be a sign. 🚩

My dad moved here about six weeks ago. He is in a large studio apartment, which is actually quite roomy. I love that they offer outdoor and outside the facility activities like a car show recently. He really seem to enjoy seeing the antique cars there. The staff has been very friendly but I’ve got to give a shout out to Tina Lay. She has gone above and beyond. Any questions I have she is my go to person. And if she doesn’t know the answer, she directs me to who I need to talk to. Ruth at the front desk has also been wonderful. I love having him over on this coast and Brookdale seems to be a good fit.
Unfortunately I need to change my review so that prospective residents are duly informed of situation at Brookdale New Port Richey. When applying and going over their comprehension contract plus paying a substantial fee, I was duped to believe it was a “non smoking community” in the contract. I had planned to spend my twilight years there. Made some great friends and planned on being able to do my daily walking exercise. Only took a couple of weeks to find out their was more smoking on that campus (and even one villa) that I could ever anticipate!!! Contract did not mention “designated smoking areas” which they have and are pretty much ignored. Staff can’t or won’t do much because many of staff smoke also and do not use areas. Bottom line… IF SMOKING OFFENDS YOU…THIS IS WRONG ESTABLISHMENT FOR YOU…STAY AWAY!!! Sad but true. Absolutely stunned by the amount of personal care provided by Chrissy and Rhonda as I was searching for senior living. Can’t wait to empty my boxes and enjoy the companionship and surrounds of this special environment. Also the menu looked mouthwatering!!!
Brookdale is a place like no other. It’s a place to feel loved, supported, and cared for each day. The staff is attentive, nurturing, and they feel like family. Brookdale provides everything my mother needs and wants. They have outstanding activities, transportation, food and entertainment. I couldn’t ask for a better assisted living facility for her.
My grandmother has been here for a couple of years now and she loves it. Amy helped us get our grandmother settled in and she was polite and helpful during the process. We picked this place because there are no hidden fees. They provide the room, meals, laundry, cleaning, daily activities and transportation to wal-mart, church, and doctor appointments. We went up for lunch yesterday and it was the best lunches ever. The food came out hot and it was fresh. The servers are always so pleasant and friendly. They only charge $5 for a guest lunch which is very reasonable. The Director walks around greeting people and making sure you have everything you need. When we were there last month we showed him something that needed fixed and he had someone fix it right away. They take my grandmother to the store, to medical appointments, church and the occasional tour of local areas. There is a beautiful courtyard that always has something blooming. They do such a nice job keeping the grounds looking nice. She really enjoys the daily exercise class and the weekly card games. I know that they have craft sessions and they have entertainment come in, and theme days and family days.
