111 Mac Arthur Dr, Cary, NC 27513, United States
Update: Yesterday 4/22/25 I received a bill for May that's $1,000 more than last month, with no explanation of the discrepancy. I asked for a report, which I'm waiting to receive. Imagine how I felt when I did some online research and saw some recent penalties with the NC Div of Health Service Regulation for violations and some class action lawsuits ***INCLUDING ELDER FINANCIAL ABUSE.*** https://rbgg.com/stiner-v-brookdale-information-page/ https://info.ncdhhs.gov/dhsr/acls/adultcarepenalties.asp The main office sent me some kind of message which I can't access because of their stupid technology. I tried to create an account to read the message and then was locked out of their system. I'm sure it was just corporate BS anyway. Cary, NC - MacArthur Park My Mom has been at this facility (Assisted Living) for 2+ months. The care is okay. These kind of facilities only get so good most times because they generally have unskilled workers who come and go. I had less than a week to find a place when my Mom was in the hospital but a couple of people recommended Brookdale to me. I chose it because it was close to home. I liked the salesperson Casey and the Care Coordinator, Ms. Cynthia. The Business Manager is a nightmare. She doesn't keep regular hours, doesn't return phone calls, is unorganized and unprofessional. She didn't process the auto-deduction for the first month fee so I had to go pay it in person. She hasn't been able to process claims to Long Term Care successfully after two months and that means I've had to float thousands of dollars without getting reimbursement. I don't even know what the long term care reimbursement will be at this point. I've had to call Brookdale and call the insurance company to follow up on her work after she files a claim. I'll continue to have to do this for however long my Mom is at Brookdale. A place that charges $8,000+ a month should have stellar customer service from a business manager. Lower level workers, I get it that they're marginally qualified...but the office manager...no, the office manager or anyone who handles money should be on top of everything, professional and accountable. Given my interaction with the business manager alone I would not recommend Brookdale MacArthur Park.

Brookdale MacArthur Park provides good care in a home like atmosphere. My husband has been there for several months and feels more and more comfortable as he adjusts to life in an assisted living facility. He feels safe which is so important for his feeling of well being. Most of the staff have been at Brookdale for many years and are pleasant and conscientious. The physical therapy he receives there is excellent. Any concerns we might have are addressed quickly and appropriately. We feel we made the right decision when we chose Brookdale MacArthur Park!
I’m very grateful for the management and staff of Brookdale MacArthur Park. My father spent more than 9 years here after a stroke left him partially paralyzed. The staff made the time enjoyable and he was know for his “good morning” greeting. He had his regular group for meals, planted tomatoes in the garden, loved watching birds from the porch and made close friends while on regular outings. I would highly recommend this location for trusted family care.
I am so fortunate to have found Brookdale MacArthur for my father. Casey made the entire process seamless and answered all of my concerns. During the tour and in my search, she was extremely patient with me and all of my many calls. She even met me after hours for a last-minute second walk through. I appreciate her professionalism, knowledge about her community and seniors' needs. Brookdale has become my second family. I am impressed by the staff - they are well tenured, responsive and open to family members. My father has met so many new friends and has enjoyed a new lease on life. I am grateful that I was led to this community and couldn't be more satisfied.
Our family has had a very positive experience at Brookdale MacArthur Park. The Sales Director, Casey, answered all of our questions with patience and kindness. Lexi, the Health and Fitness Director, works tirelessly to ensure medications are administered timely by her top notch staff. Dan and his staff do a great job providing delicious meals to the residents. And, Patty at the reception desk, is always welcoming with a smile. There is never a “perfect situation” for your elderly parent or loved one, but we are incredibly grateful to Carmen and everyone at Brookdale for their hard work and dedication to the care of our Dad. Thank you!
