Moved my parents into Brookdale Kettering last Friday. Kristen (sales and marketing) is awesome—she’s a big reason we decided on Brookdale. The move-in went smoothly, and Kristen even spent about an hour setting up cable for our parents’ TVs. Great first day service! Then, apparently on Sunday night, just two days into their stay, my dad’s wallet was opened and $100 was stolen from it. When this was reported to the director at Brookdale, she suggested to me that my parents may want to install cameras in their rooms. I said this was a good idea, and that Brookdale would, of course, pay for the cameras and installation. The director said No, my parents would have to pay for that themselves. I said I expected $100 would be deducted from his next month’s rent, and was again told No, they couldn’t do that. So the top-level staff is very kind and friendly, but they do very little to protect the possessions of their residents. I can still recommend Brookdale Kettering for those wanting independent and assisted living facilities. But don’t take anything there of value, because its safekeeping is not guaranteed. I wish the executive staff would work harder to protect what their residents worked hard all their lives to attain.

I don’t sit in my apartment alone anymore. I leave my apartment whenever I want, and I can always find a friendly face and someone to talk to. No sadness or gloom. That is very important to me.
Outstanding staff...Lynn and Cheryl do a great job with the residents. Michelle does a wonderful job monitoring her patients. The cook, Marcus can cook with the best of them! Always go home miserable from eating tooo much. Happy hour on Fridays are very nice with entertainment, as well as holiday parties - which give family members a chance to interact with their love ones. Thank you all for your kindness.
I did a lot of research before committing to Brookdale Kettering. I toured the facility and spent some time talking with some of the staff before making my decision. They have been very accommodating to allow my two emotional support dogs. Even with the pandemic, they have provided a wide variety of activities to keep us all involved in the community here at Brookdale. I especially like the Catholic service on Thursday mornings. The staff I come into contact with on a daily basis are friendly and courteous and outgoing. I really appreciate them, and I enjoy the quality of life here at Brookdale Kettering.
Staff is very caring and dedicated, as with most work places they have issues with turnover at the lower positions. They do a great job of making sure the residents are cared for and feel like family. They just hosted a holiday meal for the entire facility and it was an enjoyable evening.
