My mother in law recently moved in to her new apartment and we couldn’t be happier for her! The staff is so warm, friendly and genuine as are the numerous residents we have met so far. The activities calendar is packed with regularly scheduled events along with seasonal outings and mystery trips as well as games, crafts and numerous other activities. The food is excellent as well. We are so excited for her next chapter! Thank you Brookdale!
We truly felt a sense of warmth and family during my mother's 1 year stay on the Assited Living Floor. We were only supposed to be there for a 90-day rehab stay, which turned into a full year. Throughout the stay, we experienced nothing but support and understanding of our unique situation and we truly felt that everyone there had mom's and our family's best interest as their priority of care and hospitality. The front desk staff was always warm and welcoming. Management, if they were walking around, always said hello to us.
When it came time for my mom to move into assisted living, Brookdale was one of our first places we toured. From the first tour with Kathleen until we finally decided to do a trial, we can’t say enough good things about Brookdale! It was a big step for all of us, and theymade my mom feel comfortable right away. There is always something going on for the residents. Activities, outings, exercise, etc. The food is delicious made with fresh ingredients. After living in their home in Lombard for 50 years, the transition was amazing. They both were warmly welcomed, found activities that suited both of their likes, and enjoyed all of the ongoing entertainment provided. After my dad passed away, my mom was already comfortable there, and had developed friendships which helped in being alone after 65 years of marriage. She has now been a resident for almost 8 years, and cannot praise the entire staff for the time, effort, and respect that is given to each individual. Brookdale at home care was also accessed when needed, which provided necessary 1:1 care. The leadership is key to the wonderful team Lisa has put together. We thank all!!!
