This place doesn't even deserve a one star. They full on took advantage of myself, my brother and most important my mother. We were in desperate need of care for my mother, who also came with a medical device. This place promised us the world until after signing on the dotted line. They fell terribly short. The head nurse or whatever her title is, she is a pure joke- stay clear of her at all cost. I will spare the details. Where is my apology???? So much for your "follow up". Jen and company should be ashamed of themselves for how they treated me. "we prioritize the well-being and care of our residents and staff. have shared your concerns with our corporate management team for their review. Thank you". What a load of balony.
Both my parents lived here for a short time before my father had to move out for advanced nursing but the staff made sure he was always comfortable and safe for himself and the other residents. I really appreciate all the input they gave us and they prioritized his wellbeing over money. The building itself was also very nice and the maintenance staff was quick to fix any problems in his room.
My mother moved in and the staff was very welcoming and knowledgable. Whenever I talk to the nurses for updates on my mother's condition, they are very amicable and take the time I need to understand. They are very patient and kind when my mother is difficult and always make sure her needs are met. I'm always grateful for the staff here.
Still waiting for a "call back"/correspondence from your corporate/administration regarding our mom's incident there. For anyone who is in need of a facility for a loved one with dementia, this is not a review written by "disgruntled" family. First of all, it is heartbreaking to even have to consider any skilled facility as an alternative to care for our loved ones with dementia. Secondly, if I can offer any advice,reviews,of facilities like Brookdale I will do it. We have had a front row seat in the education of resources available for patients with dementia,Alzheimers and their families. Yes, these places are under staffed most of the time. That "line" gets old. And if you know at the time of signing the financial contracts, then DISCLOSE that fact immediately ,before we sign on the dotted line. Be more transparent. This place was not. And the nurse manager was one of the most condescending persons I have ever met in all of my 39+ years working in healthcare. So for any of you who will take the time to read this review, and you are at the point where a skilled facility is needed.(and you have a window of time)please visit,inquire,read those reviews, contact elderly services,whatever it takes!
