*They have ROACHES*. My relative was a resident at Bronxwood. It was their choice to be at this particular facility as it was in an area that they were familiar with. I would have preferred them to live at a smaller, nicer facility. That being said, let me say that this facility presented a good image on the surface upon our initial visit and tour, but as you get to know the facility, you start to realize that it is subpar. Let me just cut to the chase and say, they have a ROACH problem. Roaches were everywhere, not just in the dark corners. It is a big facility and gave me the feeling that this is where people who have no one to care for them are dumped. Residents hang out in the lobby/ entry-way area. There was almost always someone smoking on the steps out front. There would be spit on the steps as you made your way into the vestibule. And that’s just the start. The front desk staff were not as welcoming as I would expect for people in their position. They gave the vibe of “I’m just here to collect my paycheck.” As for the back office, they were more of the same. God help you if you need to talk to a caseworker to deal with something immediately. They do not return phone calls or respond to voicemails. I’ve had to call back and demand the operator transfer me to someone who could actually answer the phone. A couple of staff were friendly. But for the most part, everyone just goes about their business. Once my relative needed assistance with medication and they took a hands-off approach. If you actually need 'assistance', they don't want to give any. I would say there is high turnover in their office staff. Several people have come and gone during the time my relative was there. Ultimately, my relative left and went to a much better place with caring staff and a cleaner, better run and responsive facility. If the family had it all to do again, Bronxwood wouldn’t have been on the list at all. My opinion is: there is much better out there.

The parent company of this place "The w group" robbed me of about 12,000 dollars which was supposed to be my disability retro check This place has roaches in the rooms. They are disgusting dirty thieves. I would give no stars to them if I could
Place is great for my father. If you have an elderly loved one that do not 24-hour care this place is perfect. They have activities so they are not sitting around all day. The place is good, I give it a thumbs up.
Extremely well kept ,everyone is very helpful making you feel very comfortable loved this experience would recommend very highly
Plenty of activities there. Lots. Of things go on from movies to music. Nice rooms and plenty of visiting areas.
