I’ve been working at Broadview for almost 8 years. I love working with the special women in the recreation department. The team I have gotten the opportunity to work with has helped me grow and learn more about myself then any job I’ve ever had. The friends and relationships that I have had with my coworkers from not only my department but the other departments in the facility have been such a blessing in my life. The residents in this facility are the highlight of my day and truly family to me. The family members that I have met and gotten close with are such a blessing to me. Being able to celebrate with you on the good days, and to be able to go through the bad days with you too. Thank you for all these memories and the last 8 years

Apparently my previous review was somehow removed. I'm a resident here and let me begin with how poorly the place is maintained. It gets over 80 degrees in my room most nights. This has been a problem the entire year that I have been in this room and they have been aware of the issue the entire time. They have someone come in and open up the air handler in the room then pretend like they're fixing something while not actually doing anything. I have been told multiple times that someone is being called in to fix the heating system. The maintenance director even tried to turn it on me asking if had asked to move rooms so I wouldn't have to deal with it. In other words they don't plan on fixing it they want to move someone in that isn't of sound mind ain't won't complain about it. Also the place is very unclean. There's filth on doors and walls that has been there for a long time. If a mess is made while there is no housekeeping in the building it doesn't get cleaned up because nurses and aids claim they don't have access to cleaning supplies. If that is the case then they need to have housekeeping on staff at all times instead of leaving food and drink spills on the floor and covering them up with a towel. The bathrooms are filthy and look like they use dirty water to clean the floors. Very rarely do they actually sweep up crumbs from the floor in the rooms they just use a swiffer and push them under things. Then there is the food. I got better quality meals when I was in jail. This is something I felt need added. There is a 5 star review from a Linda Davis posted on here that I feel is fraudulent. She was across the hall from me and was physically and mentally incapable of leaving the review she supposedly posted. So were the people that posted it the same same staff members that got on her iPad?
This place is absolutely atrocious. The damn bird cage in the lobby is cleaner than residents rooms!! The floors in that place don’t look like they have been cleaned in months if ever! The trash all over the place, the horrific lingering smell, the condition of the equipment-beds and tables- has feces and urine all over it the walls and ceilings are covered in food or feces and urine or all the above. The director should be ashamed for letting this go on and every single Stna should be fired and not allowed to work In healthcare ever again. The state needs to shut down this facility immediately! It’s amazing residents are not all sick from the condition of the place, don’t get me started on the condition the residents are left in on night shift. Not giving residents water , on their phone sitting in the office more than on the floor. This place is an absolute disgrace . If you love your family member or yourself, do not go to or use this awful place . Prisoners are kept in better conditions.
Ive worked at broadview multi care center for 15 years. I started as an STNA on the floor, worked my way to being a restorative aid, and now im in the recreation department. I have learned so much from working here and learning under women like Ivanka Mikulec, Renee Higgs, Alexis Kraidich and Debbie Rafalski. I have a strong relationship with my residents and coworkers and have created a family here in the last 15 years. Looking forward to the years to come, and learning new ways to show how much i care.
The social worker was so helpful and she really likes to help people and she does an excellent job with everything she did for me.! so sweet.! And the admissions office did an amazing job with taking me on a tour of the facility.! Shout outs to all admissions staff and Alexa for being so supportive and helpful.! 🫶🏽🫡🙏🏽
