I have been visiting a Family Friend weekly since she became a Resident of the Assisted Living section of Brightview at South County Commons. The facility is beautifully kept, the staff is wonderful, the meals are exceptional, the activities are varied and plentiful. The residents of both the Assisted Living and the Independent Living sections are friendly and welcoming… I hope when I reach this stage in my life, I am able to call Brightview my Home:-)

I would give Brightview six stars if I could. The facility is top rate, and the care and attention is superb. The staff maintains excellent and consistent communication with family. The leadership is exceptionally engaged well beyond what would normally be expected. I cannot recommend highly enough, the folks at Brightview have been wonderful.
I’ve waited more than 6 months to write this review. Our mom was a resident there from October 2021 until the end of January 2024. She was happy there and considered it her home. After Thanksgiving in 2023 she became sick with a UTI and was hospitalized and went to rehab to get stronger to be able to go back “home” to Brightview. At rehab she relapsed and was rushed to the hospital with pneumonia and urosepsis. She recovered from her infection but towards the end of her hospitalization she was apparently very close to death and we were advised to put her on hospice. She was 92. We contacted Brightview who had previously told us that they had patients on hospice. My mom really wanted to die in her own bed. They reluctantly agreed to take her back with 24 hour round the clock CNA coverage provided by us privately. We agreed, and my mom was brought back “home”. Well, she rallied when she got back to her comfortable, familiar surroundings and didn’t die as quickly as everyone had predicted, but after an initial improvement in her condition she began to steadily decline. The administration at Brightview told us, in her declining condition, that we needed to remove her from their facility. Darlene, the administrator, called a meeting and told us that we needed to get her out of there immediately! We asked her if we could have more time to explore appropriate facilities and she said an outright no, and was very rude about it. After exploring our rights we decided to contest this, because at the time my mother was actively dying, when we received an eviction notice from Darlene! My mom passed away shortly afterwards without moving from Brightview, but the staff made it very difficult for our family during the final days of our mother’s life.
Helped an older friend of mine move in to this facility- seems like a wonderful place to be. All staff were professional, helpful and kind hearted. Other residents seem to all look happy which I believe is a reflection of the overall community.
Clean, friendly staff….& comfortable, safe and happy elder! Who could ask for more? Thanks to ALL staff!
