I have visited my brother in law there several times and have always been impressed with the amenities and cleanliness.
My mother has lived at Avondell almost since it opened over 10 years ago. We have been very impressed by the quality of the facilities, by the activities that are available to the residents, by the food, and by the care and attention everyone is given by the staff. It's been a wonderful place for her to live. More recently, the careful protective measures taken during the pandemic have kept everyone safe. The staff have maintained a remarkable balance between safety and allowing residents to have some limited contact with their families and with each other. I could not recommend it more highly.
My mother has lived at at Brightview Avondell in Bel Air for 7 years, and joining the community was the best decision we could have made as a family. She has moved from living there with my father, to living as a widow, to residing in assisted living, and her care and the team is incredible. The move was life enhancing for my parents and, as adult caregivers, life-changing for their children. The amazing staff means our mother's care team has increased exponentially!
