My client has been a resident here for over nine months. In that time, she has shown remarkable improvement in her strength, thanks to the excellent physical and occupational therapies she receives. The staff of Brighton Gardens are friendly, caring, and compassionate towards residents and their families. My client's apartment is always clean and tidy since the housekeeping staff do a great job. The food is very good; there are several options on the menus for residents to choose from. There are daily activities offered which give residents an opportunity to socialize and enhance their motor skills, as well as provide mental stimulation. The grounds are beautiful and are maintained regularly. When working in this facility, I feel like I'm among family. It is a very warm, fun and comfortable atmosphere.

Please do not let your loved one go to Brighton. They will not get the care and services that they need and deserve AND that you’re paying for. The administration is so detached from the reality of just how overworked and (a word that admin and corporate has charts and graphs to tell me it just isn’t true!) UNDERSTAFFED. We moved my mom and dad into Brighton 12yrs ago. It was a lovely community then. We saw admin interacting all the time in the community. The dining room was run with a staff that was able to serve everyone with respect and dignity. My father passed 7yrs ago and my mom stayed on because it was home. In the last few years, that home has been ruined. I’m really not sure how corporate can hear the number of complaints that I KNOW they have received (not just from me) and still not change a thing. Please don’t put your loved one here. The facility is in poor condition (the carpet, which is everywhere) has never been replaced in the 12 years that we’ve been here. The large front elevator was out of service for months, repaired and worked for a few months and then out of service for months again. The dining area is understaffed so the residents have to raise their hands to get attention. Thank goodness for the ONE full time dining room worker. I hope she is paid what she DESERVES! We recently moved our 94yr old mother from this place to another local community. This is something we never thought/wanted to do. This place was home. But we couldn’t keep her in a place that was being so mismanaged. And the final hurt was that after that long of residing there, not one admin or corporate member reached out to either my mom or me to let us know that she would be missed. Many, many staff did as well as residents. Please don’t put your loved one here
The grounds are well kept. The facility is clean. The staff was nice and seemed to care about the residents. They have activities for the residents. They seemed to be well taken care of. My client's room was clean. I would recommend this facility.
We took a tour of this place and the head of sales and the nurse evaluated my mother. They both agreed she would be great in the assisted living section. I told them ahead of time that she sometimes has bouts of dementia and asked if they were sure. They told me "Family sometimes exaggerates their family's conditions" so I trusted their judgment. My first mistake. We were quoted a price for assisted living. My mom stayed in assisted living for one week. When we were out of town, they wanted to move my mom without my being even in Raleigh to Memory Care which was significantly high price per day. If this was the case initially, we would have never chosen this place. When I returned to Raleigh, we had no choice but to temporarily move her into Memory care before I could find another place. Memory care there is very marginal. My mom fell and had several staples in the back of her head and was supposed to have to follow up appointment. She was neglected by the staff. Finally returning to the hospital to get the staples removed, the staples had to be surgically cut out. Serious senior neglect. I would not recommend putting your parent here or your loved one. One more thing, attention to detail moving in. They couldn't even figure out if my mother's room came with sheets or not so I bought them when indeed they supplied them. Laura of Raleigh
The most overpriced facility for the care my Mother has received. It took 2 months to get her a shower. Their specialty is to take her to get 3 meals a day. Charge her if they have to bring the meal to her room in a box. They do NOT check on her every 2 hours. Sometimes the only way she gets help is if the medicine woman or the cleaning lady just happen to enter her room. Their excuse for not helping her with her bathroom duties is "She didn't push the button. My Mom has Major Dementia and what do they expect. I would never recommend anyone paying over $8500 a month at this place. A rip off!! They also were giving her the incorrect dose of her seizure medication. Double! 9 pills instead of 4! My Mom was a Zombie and could have killed her. STAY AWAY from Brighton Gardens!!!
