As a long term care nurse for many years and having worked in several different facilities I can say Bridgeport Healthcare Center does an excellent job at ensuring the care being provided is of the highest quality. They have a great administrative team, starting at the corporate level that closely monitors and ensures all of the regulations are being met. Like every place, there is always a bad apple that can slip through but they attempt to only hire compassionate and competent staff and quickly initiate education or discipline if an employee is not meeting expectations. The Advanced 360 rehab unit has beautiful spacious rooms with a private bathroom and an exceptional rehab team that has much success on restoring someone back to their prior level of function. I would absolutely recommend this place for short term rehab or long term care.

If I could give a negative review I would. This place is absolutely trash and I wouldn’t trust them with a dead dog. Originally my aunt went there following a stroke. My aunt who is extremely confused, doesn’t even know her own family was kidnapped by another family member. Originally the facility stated that she left a note stating she wanted to change her POA and then left. The police get involved start searching; after HOURS the police call the facility to get medication information so they know they are dealing with a medical emergency and the facility changes the story and says she was alert and oriented so they let her leave AMA! This women has not been oriented for MONTHS! Now my aunt who is medically unstable is unaccounted for. The facility has changed the story multiple times. Do not send your loved ones here!
Absolutely the lowest of care. My loved one was transferred there from a hospital without us knowing ahead of time. This place has no cameras, so the staff steals whatever they want. My loved one was in a horrific auto accident and was doing well with therapy on walking again. This nursing facility has done Nothing! She came in on 2/14/24 and has been lying on her back with no care,whatsoever! I filed a complaint with the state. They stated the nursing home meets federal standards, so they won't investigate. Now it all makes sense! Please do not leave your lived one there! It takes an act of Congress to get them transferred to another facility. This is almost April and we are still hearing from the staff that they lost the paperwork,etc. Bullshit tactics.
The people that work in the facilitys for low wages, I would say are a lot better people than the trash that just dumps their elders on them . You all just go there and attack them for your problems.
My 86 yr old dad stayed here for approximately three weeks for rehabilitation after a hospital stay. The daily care was sub par. He was rarely helped to sit up or get out of bed. He did received is required hours of rehab however if you don't regular move and get out of bed it is zero help. He was constantly fed pureed food which we requested be stopped. It never was and he lost so much weight. He eventually had to be transferred to another facility because medicare stopped paying due to lack of progress. He has since recovered and is ready to go home. Do not recommend.
