Briar Hills Assisted Living gets a rating of “10” from me! As a registered nurse, I’ve toured many group homes to assist patients and families with transitions of care. I recently needed to find an assisted living/group home following a hospitalization of a family member. Our loved one had complex health care needs that could not be addressed at all assisted living homes. When I toured Briar Hills Assisted Living and spoke with Alina Deac, I knew that this home would be exceptional in caring for our loved one and I was right! Alina was professional, compassionate, caring, willing to go the extra mile for her residents and families. I cannot speak highly enough of her TLC for the patients in her charge. Our family member loved being at Briar Hills Assisted Living from the start. She raved about the home-cooked food, the attentive personal care and the personal attention she received from Alina & staff. Alina and her staff were responsive, committed to their work, excellent at communicating with family and with health care professionals. The fact that Alina is a nurse is a huge plus. She knows how to assess, ensure appropriate care is provided, administers & manages the complexities of medications, and knows when to notify the doctor of care issues. This facility is family owned and operated. The owners and caregivers, Alina and Alex, care for their residents as they would care for their own parents. They are loving and attentive, and no need escapes their notice. The home is lovely , always clean and the yard is also beautiful. The food is very good, homemade, and that's important to someone who has all their meals there. My father appreciated their loving care very much, and our family did, too. We will always be very grateful to Alina and Alex!
