Very recently my brother needed assisted living and his wife and I met with Jen. She explained the facilities, showed the apartment (awesome place!) and went over all options, fees, etc. and we saw the residents being entertained, outside in games or just visiting. All residents looked happy, content and at mealtime really enjoying their food and each other at their tables. Our family agreed this was exactly what we needed for my brother and the contracts were signed, deposits given and we picked up the keys. The following day my brother was admitted to hospital and unfortunately he died just 3 days later... before he could move into Brentwood at Niles. I dropped off the key on the weekend with the receptionist and advised that my brother wouldn't be moving in after all, and requested she pass the that info to Jen. When my sister in-law and I went to see Jen on Tuesday, and before we fully explained the situation to her, she handed the deposit and first month checks that were Uncashed to us, with her condolences. This is after they had already done all of the work on their end, to establish the level of care and other administrative work. To be fully refunded in this way is Above and Beyond our expectations and the family cannot be more grateful. It really shows the Character of those who administer this business and for that, when my sister in-law is ready, she will absolutely choose Brentwood at Niles as her new home. My words cannot adequately express how impressed I am with everything and everyone there.

We are so impressed with the fabulous care my dad is getting at Brentwood in Niles. The staff are all saints! They are so helpful and sweet! My dad moved in last weekend, Sept. 3, and is very happy and comfortable in his new facility. We could not have asked for a better place. I'm 2 1/2 hours away and my brothers are both 1 1/2 hour away. We feel so much at ease knowing that he is in excellent care. Keep up the fantastic work staff! Give each other a HUGE pat on the back and say "a job well done!"
My husband and I toured this very nice facility yesterday with Jennifer Kedik, who couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. We are looking for a place for my mom. If it comes to the point where her live-in caregiver can no longer stay with her, I would love to have Mom go to Brentwood. It's clean and light, the food looked delicious and all of the staff was friendly. Residents seemed happy and well cared for. We were impressed!
I just left from visiting my Mother who is a resident in Brentwood's Memory Care @Niles . I have to say ,I was happy overall before, but since Brentwood has been under new owners, I can tell that it's even better. My siblings and I agree . Everything is clean, the staff are very helpful and so sweet to my Mom and just feels more organized and the staff look happy. I have been a nurse for 32 years so my expectations are high and I feel that my Mom is receiving the best care she deserves. I know no place is perfect but feel reassured and confident @this point .
My mom moved into Brentwood from out of state a year ago, and right from the start she has felt welcomed, valued, and listed to. The business transactions and paperwork to move her in were a breeze, thanks to the strong leadership in place here... introductions to the wonderful and caring teams (nursing staff, kitchen staff, laundry and housekeeping, resident assistants, management, etc.) were kindly done but not at all overwhelming... her introduction to the routines and schedules plus the wonderful social activities was done with enthusiasm, but all the while recognizing that this was a major life shift for her and her family, and thus handled with compassion. Most of the staff have been serving the seniors at Brentwood for many years, so to me that says a lot about their job satisfaction, plus it shows up in how they respectfully care for each resident and handle incidents and situations as they arise. Mom has come to love many of them, and I know they have come to love her, too; these people are her family now, as well. Mom really enjoys the food here; it's always fresh and healthy. Portion sizes are perfect; she gets plenty of food but not too much that it's wasted. The big meal of each day is served at lunchtime which I think is really good for seniors. Residents are given choices for each meal which is so important for Mom's continued independence. Family Night takes place once a month, and the leadership team here continues to amaze me in what they think up as a theme, how much they embrace and put into these special evenings, and how much fun these multi-generational events are for everyone. The guiding principles here are to help the residents live with/achieve Joy, Independence, and Wellness. These coupled with how I saw the staff work with and care for their residents were the reasons we chose Brentwood to be Mom's home. We made a very good choice and we are all very happy.
