Services are income based. The staff is friendly and helpful and a person Is made to feel welcome right away even if they have never been there before.

Branch Creek Place is under the sponsorship of Menno Haven Retirement Community which is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and a commitment to Christian Principles. "Therefore it is run entirely differently that other senior centers in Pennsylvania. While in attendance at BCP, I have been bullied, threatened, abused and provided with a lot of misinformation. For example, I was recently (October 2021) told that if I don't wear a mask at all times except when eating that the CDC will close down the center. Although the money box clearly says donations, I was told that the meals cost $2 and a monitor at the money box records who pays and who doesn't. Most of the people are not friendly to newcomers. There are clicks and groups who gang up against loners. All and all, not a "safe" place emotionally.
It was like being in High School. Gossiping and clicks . A few people were somewhat friendly. Very depressing experience. Center needs help in making new members feel welcome. Current members really don't want anyone invading their sanctuary. So sad, some of he members just stare at you and I was interrogated by a member on the board as to why I was walking and talking with another member while at an outing at Green Grove Gardens. I encountered not just one but two bad instances.
What a friendly, fun and exciting place for the seniors. They have so many fun events for the senior members to enjoy. We love going there to volunteer and spend time with the members.
