Very strange agency. Apparently the person doing the intake, Kay, gives misleading information as to their services. Not sure why the Disability Law Center would refer people to an agency like this.
I had to call for over a month because my PCAs weren’t getting paid. Then was told I should have called them when I finally got someone on the phone. I was passed along to several staff and they were not helpful. I kept being told I would receive calls back and never did. One man was immediately extremely rude to me when I greeted him and let him know my situation. The Nurse who was supposed to re-assess me said that she would need at least one other person in the area to make it “worth the trip”. I received the wrong persons paperwork (for the second time) so I have no idea what my hours are for PCA services.
Oh the people who work there are very caring, loving people. They have a listening ear for all that need their services. The Director and Deputy Director are hard working people. Not only that, the staff , from the receptionist to the interns are wonderful.
It's very good & I've been there before to apply for housing, but I've been waiting for section 8 for a long time & they put me on a waiting list, through.
