The assisted living center at Bonnaventure of Thornton is a high quality living facility for seniors. The Director Gloria and front desk receptionist’s, Evita were very friendly, accommodating and helpful, reaching out to assist with every need, when I stayed 2 weeks as a guest with my mother who has lived there for 2 years. Leo, the driver provided transportation to the Dr.’s for my mother in a safe and caring manner. George handled s maintenance / safety problem my mother had with a fast response. The activity director’s are caring, friendly, and creative with numerous activities throughout the week. The food was good most of the time but on some days it could be improved, however choices of different foods were available. I highly recommend Bonaventure of Thornton as a safe and caring place to live with a community and family atmosphere.

Bonaventure of Thornton was a very disappointing experience for my mother. The facility is beautiful and always clean, however the quality of care is concerning. Although the assisted living care staff is caring and friendly, they seem over worked. It appears that management may be disconnected from daily care. For example, my mom was unconscious in her room for over 24 hours in Assisted Living. She finally woke up and was able to call for help. From there she spent 3 weeks in the hospital. I just wish they had better policies in place to prevent this from happening. The staff acknowledged that they noticed she didn’t come down for breakfast, lunch or dinner, yet no one made the effort to check on her. I really hope management will use this as an opportunity to put a policy in place to ensure residents are adequately monitored.
Do NOT place your loved one here, especially in memory care. They don’t adequately train staff to deal with people who have dementia/Alzheimer’s. Management will make rude comments about your loved one. They don’t provide trash bags and even gloves at times for the MC side of the building. People go unchanged for hours. Some of the workers will be disrespectful to you directly so I can’t imagine how they act solo. The food is awful, with many residents not even finishing their meals. If you do end up putting your loved one here, PLEASE check in on them frequently or else many things will go unnoticed, unchecked, and uncared for.
My wife my son and me went to ask for a tour for a family member.we enter this beautiful building and here she is the manager Mrs Jones . She disrespected my wife big time in front of others with unacceptable comments . I also observed how they treated a man in wheelchair like he's a problem for them.please run away from this facility.If management is rude with wealthy professionals like people like my family o can't imagine how this elderly people are being abused here .stay away from Thornton Colorado we moving to another state soon with people with education and people who cares about others and do not bring your personal issues to others.seriously this management is scary .I feel very sad for my wife . disrespect in front of a group of pwople is bad manners . unbelievable people like her can be a manager where the more vulnerable elderly people are spending the rest of their lives .
I have had personal interactions with the senior leadership of this community. All I can say is they extended substantial acts of kindness to people I care about, who they knew were NOT going to be living in their community. If they are willing to give kindness for people who don't live there, imagine what they'll do for those who do.
