Blue Ridge Independent Living is there to help people live better lives. They help give back hope to those who are willing to help themselves, with help and guidance from their programs that they offer. It’s not everyday you see good programs of this nature, I highly recommend to all who can assist with donations to this organization , being and individual or organization/ business (Please donate) regardless of the amount, these programs give people a sense of security and independence of living. We all have people in our families that know of someone disabled or even may have someone in our own families that can use services like these, It would be a great thing if this organization could GROW and it’s going to take people coming together to make this happen. People are always on social media, so take the time to network and let these services grow for individuals and families. Please, people open your hearts and think of people you know or know of, that needs or has needed assistance for disabled, Again please spread the love for people and let’s grow this organization to better peoples lives. Love and help all people regardless of who they are or their background. Sometimes it takes a little advice or a little help to give someone a new since of hope in their lives to live a better an independent life.

Don't bother to call them. My husband and myself are literally going to be homeless today or tomorrow and they say they can't help us. I just got out of the hospital a few weeks ago from infection that caused half of my foot to be amputated, I'm already a below the knee amputee on the left, if I become homeless I'm going to lose my other leg. My husband is an amputee also. We were told they didn't have any funds because of COVID, that was 2 years ago, that's what we were told by them. How does that affect you now? So who are the disabled supposed to call to truthfully get help so they don't end up more disabled?
The staff of Blue Ridge Independent Living are very helpful, genuine, and are on top of whatever someone may need or qualify for and assure services are received sooner rather than later I am so grateful for Blue Ridge Independent Living . I will never forget my experience with Blue Ridge Independent
Thanks to this place, I am finally starting to feel like there is hope for me to live past my thirties. I was previously homeless for several years and lived in my car because I have an autoimmune disorder that is slowly killing me and destroying my organs, which made working impossible. I am now getting the help I need and no longer feel ashamed about my disability or living life as a disabled person. This place helped me to save my life.
Very helpful, nice people.
