If I could give zero stars I would. I used to love this place. I'm a nurse and very very picky about long term care and healthcare in general. My grandmother was doing well. I was happy with her care. But her room is at the end of the hallway and there is a man that goes in and out of her room as he pleases. My family has been told multiple times over the past SEVERAL MONTHS that she was going to get moved to a different floor yet that hasn't happened nor is it a priority. We've also been told that staff would keep him out of her room. Yet he still continues to go into my grandmother's room and apparently staff doesn't care. So if you want your family member to go somewhere safe, this isn't the place. I will make sure that everyone I know in healthcare knows how horrible and unsafe this place is. No wonder the state took over.

Worked with two nurses name Gyasi Denteh/Yeboah Matildad . Not sure who was the nurse handling the left side facing the elivator from the nurse station in the second floor to the unit that has almost 50 resident on Sept 9,2024. This nurse was so Aggresively with her tone and such a snob.When it came to me she was trana use her skills to get me out of charactor to favor a cna from connect Rn.As i kept noticing it was personal because to the other 3cna she was not giving this tention...Another problem every room she walked in to the residents i was taking care she was checking them because of a cna Fila Comfort clars was making false aligation. Minding this cna already assoulted me at th last place we worked at and cut my hair thinking i wouldnt notice and i reported her for it she got DNR FROM FITCHBURG. 4cna 4 assigment and they expected for me to do their call lights. No excuse to sleep on the Job and expect me to go for those lights nope sorry. Then when it came to one of my resident needing a dressing done this nurse refused to do so as the resident was waiting since 9Pm for that dressing for her colostomy. Instead the nurse refused and stated ill just past it long to morning shift... Unbelievable!!! Shes not polite at all... They were bothered and annoyed by doing their Job... Sleeping on the Job is not Ok and DNR ME for speaking up on it is so PETTY... In this generation of nursing im not understanding why work 11pm to 7am and sleep through the night to then give a hard time to the cna who stayed up all night for not falling to their maliuse mental games... I had to request the supervisor to allow me to leave at 6am because i dint feel respected but bullied by a Nurse who was going along with the cnas mental problem.... Do Better! The Fact the state took over the facility but their hiring staff who sleep on the Job!!! Thanks for the DNR.... They lied and stated i argued with another staff in order to DNR ME???? WHAT A LIE ... WONDERING WHO WAS THE PERSON MAKING THIS FALSE ALIGATION... Theres a Reason the state took over!!! At least the residents were happy and very comftable to see me and thats all that mattered to me...
Blackstone Valley Health and Rehabilitation is located in Whitinsville, beautiful grounds with patios, flowers and sitting areas. The rehabilitation team is filled with staff who are kind and compassionate. The nurse management team is top notch, they have worked together for many years. Dietary and the activities department are very accommodating. I highly recommend you go tour any facility, this gives you the opportunity to see the building, and talk to the team and see the building in action! This facility has gone from a one star facility to a three star facility on CMS nursing home compare with in the last 2 years.
I don't understand the negative reviews. Blackstone rehab was filled with staff who were kind and compassionate. The rehab department was incredible and worked to ensure I was ready to go home with no issues. Nursing staff and the aides made sure I was comfortable. If I need rehab again Blackstone will be my first choice.
State Imposes Receiver On Three Long-Term Care Centers Today Attorney General Andrea Campbell’s office announced that three long-term care facilities in Massachusetts are under temporary receivership after state officials grew worried about staffing levels and poor quality of care. The facilities include Pioneer Valley Health and Rehabilitation in South Hadley, Blackstone Valley Health and Rehabilitation in Whitinsville, and Mill Town Health and Rehabilitation in Amesbury. "Receivership will help stabilize the situation by taking control of finances and supporting daily operations, while protecting the welfare of residents and staff," said Attorney General Campbell in a statement released today. A hearing on the case is scheduled in Suffolk Superior Court for Thursday morning, Campbell's office said.
