I recently began employment as a Receptionist with Birchwood Rehabilitation in Cranford, N.J. What I’d like to say about this facility is that right from my first couple of days there I was pleasantly surprised and even more so impressed with the friendliness of both the management and my fellow employees. My job within the Reception area is, as I expected, a very busy area of the facility. Mostly due to it being the first area of contact for family and friends visiting their loved ones. It was great for me to see first hand how the staff goes the extra mile to make those experiences pleasant for everyone. Something that seems to follow through to the residents of their facility also. After visiting this place twice, I was very impressed. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. When you walked through the doors, you were not hit with that smell you usually would get from a nursing home. The nurse at the dialysis center was very welcoming and was compassionate and assisted me with any questions regarding my father’s care. The Social Workers were very helpful and kind. I am very confident in this establishment and believe my dad will receive the care that he needs. Thank you to the overall nurses and staff at Birchwood Rehabilitation in Cranford.
The facility was clean and odor free. The staff was very pleasant. I made an observation regarding my family member and was glad to see it had been addressed by my next visit. My family member is pleased with most of the care being rendered. There was a structural issue that needed to be addressed in the room and someone was made aware.
This facility is amazing especially the staff who are friendly and attentive. My grandpa was sent here from another facility and has made so much progress. He could not walk before he came here. Now he is walking by himself no problem and ready to come home. I would highly recommend this facility to other people.
My mom was admit to facility first week of December, from the beginning the staff has been helpful and caring. They treat her with respect and are always happy to assist and smiling. I can see a change in my mom's demeanor and I feel with continued care from Birchwood staff she will recover and be able to come home soon.
