I wish I could give a negative rating! They don’t even deserve one star.. but the staff was mostly nice to my mother’s picky food habits. Outside of that, this place is NASTY!!! From the smells to them allowing the patients to play bumper wheelchairs in the hallways ALL hours of the day and night. I wouldn’t send my pet rat here!

The facility is great. Rooms are very clean. The lounges are portioned for a lot of natural light are are very comfortable. The staff is wonderful. Very attentive to the needs of the people staying there for rehab. I am thankful to have this organization. Gives me comfort knowing my elderly mother is in a caring and professional team.
My daughter went here only because it had a bed. All other facilities were full. (Now we know why). THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE ! Don't pay attention to the photos - they are enhanced. Being located near South Hills Village & close to Upper St. Clair, Peters Township & Mt. Lebanon, you would think that the photos portrayed are accurate. The facility needs new rugs, plastered, sanded & a lot of fresh paint. Staff ignore call lights. The food is awful. Thankfully, we were able to have food delivered from the local restaurants, daily. My best recommendation: Avoid this place & look elsewhere.
My first encounter was a little over a year ago with the Bethel Facility. It was during the time when my Mom needed help. I was told by several people beforehand this place is very popular and the staff is friendly and caring. My tour there was very positive during the 1st mtg with a nurse and some of the staff. Everyone there was very nice and helpful and very caring, but there were no beds left at that time. I was sad they were filled up, because Mom needed help, but glad the residents there were getting help and they were happy. Yesterday, late afternoon, I had the opportunity to visit my friend's Mom (lets call her T) who has been at the Bethel facility for almost a month. I walked into the building and was warmly greeted by the front desk staff who explained that I needed to register. I then proceeded to the destination which was on the second floor. It was about 4:30 at that time and the dinners were being served at that time. The scrumpcious aroma made me so hungry. As I walked into the room, the nurse was helping T sit up on the side of the bed. The nurse then took the food cover off of the entre' and oh my goodness... very appetizing and amazing aroma! The nurse encouraged T to eat, especially being diabetic. During the time spent there, we had great conversation, nurses came in at different times to check on T, gave her the shot of insulin, another nurse came in and explained what she was doing when she cleaned and changed a wound dressing. It is very evident the nurses and staff care about the residents and they are competent in giving individualized attention to the residents. There was always cold ice water for T to drink. It makes such a major difference in people's lives when they are treated with kindness and love. I was grateful and thankful to observe this and it effects peoples lives in a great way. Let your lights keep shining.
1st time visiting a friend at this Rehabilitation Facility. I was greeted warmly by front desk, it was acceptable to bring some favorite food items to my friend, I made an appointment to have her hair washed/cut/styled by their hairdresser on Monday. The smell on second floor was concerning but I imagine that is difficult to manage.
