I have been a resident here for 14 years. I am well cared for and I feel safe here. That was not always true. Admission to permanent care in a nursing home is very stressful and during long term care there are always problems that arise. Here residents are encouraged to report their concerns. Every concern that I have reported has been diligently addressed. I have not been punished in any way for my complaints. Our DON is caring and competent and expects the same from her staff. Our new administrator has already improved the quality of care for us residents and expects compliance to his directions. Most every CNA and nurse will go the “extra mile” when asked for help.i have strict dietary guidelines one of which is gluten free food. Our kitchen manager is now providing me with gluten free bread. No other administrator has done that.Since Thanksgiving , physical therapy has enabled me to progress from being bedbound to transfer and pivot into my wheelchair. Furthermore I can now walk with a walker to the bathroom. We have regular opportunities and support for faith growth and sharing..

We cannot state enough how pleased we were with Amber and her Staff. They took care of our mother above and beyond our expectations! Would definitely recommend Bermuda Commons in Mocksville, NC for anyone looking for elderly care!
A few years back my Mother needed more care than we could give her. It was an endless search for me to find somewhere that she would get the care she needed, that she could afford. When I got her accepted at Bermuda Commons, I thought “Thank God” because this was my last option, little did I know that Bermuda Commons ended up being my Mother’s blessing in disguise!!! Mom spent her last days here with so much love and kindness and professional care. When you are trying to find senior care for your loved one it is a daunting chore but the Staff at Bermuda Commons not only helped me so much with a smooth transition but they welcomed my Mother with open arms.my Mother was in skilled nursing and received physical therapy regularly, speech therapy, dietician guided meals and she played Bingo(or at least observed) participated in crafts and Bible study. She even was crowned Prom Queen at a very special Prom for all seniors. She got her hair done and nails painted regularly and even participated in a fashion show. I don’t know what other facilities would have been like for my Mother, but Bermuda Commons became my mother’s home. You can’t ask for more than that. This past weekend my Mom continued on her journey to the heavens. The staff was so kind and loving and respectful as she got ready to leave this world. They all loved her and she knew it. Thank you everyone at Bermuda Commons.
Completely incompetent staff. Most (not all) have absolutely no empathy for their residents and patients. Unfortunately this is a common issue among other nursing facilities. The staff here need to be investigated by the NC Medical Board and complaints will be filed. I encourage family members of all residents to spend a few hours observing the behavior of the staff and how they treat residents.
Incompetent staff. They let my mom dangling half off the bed. Her urine bag was never emptied. She had to be transported to Forsyth Emergency. The paramedic had to empty it with a cup. They don’t care for patients just a pay check. My brother told me all the atrocities they on a daily bases. Everyone should avoid letting your love ones brought to this facility. I will be filing several complaints with the State. Read all reviews prior to accepting this facility.
