Benedictine is not your usually large retirement facility. It’s a nice size so the residents can get that personalize touch. Employees are friendly and always willing to assist. Vicky and Mary are the cleaning custodians and are very nice. The maintenance guys are superb (Jim, Bruce, Roger and countless others are wonderful). The facility brings in interesting entertainment on a regular basis. They also have field trips and outings for the residents to enjoy. They have chair volleyball and exercise classes for the residents. The employees try to stay on top of the needs of the residents. During the holidays, the entire Shrine area is decorated in Christmas lights.

Benedictine has been an absolutely superior assisted living environment for our 94 year old father. It is surrounded by acres of beautiful woods and landscaping. Spotlessly clean with no unsettling smells, and Dad has enjoyed every single meal he has had there. Nurses Amy and Greg are highlly experienced professionals and also kind and thoughtful humanists, we trust them completely for Dad’s care. They communicate with us a lot to help Dad and involve us in decisions, and we appreciate it. On top of that, literally everyone we have met there, dozens of people, are among the kindest and most friendly people we have ever known. I seldom get Dad to answer his phone because his is out in the halls visiting with his new friends. The whole experience is better than we ever imagined it could be. We are grateful for the professionalism and care at Benedictine.
My mother has been living at the Benedictine for a little over a year. The staff is wonderful! They are friendly, respectful, and caring to all of the residents. The meals are nutritious and delicious. Also, there is always lots of great activities for the residents to participate in. My family is very happy with the care My mother has received.
My dad lives at the Benedictine living community at the shrine. He has been there over 2 years and is very happy. The administration along with the saff are very helpful and nice. They do a great job keeping him safe and involved in their daily activities. The environment at the Benedictine living community at the shrine gives my family peace of mind. We so appreciate their effort and care!
The Benedictine LIVING Community (BLCS) is a very warm and inviting place to move into. As a member of a religious community we were well received and soon became a big part of the entire BLC S community.
