In the span of les than a month, my father passed and I found myself in the role of caregiver to my brother who has autism, and my mother who has severe dementia—both of whom require 24-hour supervision and personal care. Faced with sudden crisis, I was hesitant to admit that my situation was not sustainable nor healthy for myself or my loved ones. As i began the process of learning about elder care, elder law, and the intricacies of MediCare and Medicaid, I soon realized that the only feasible option for my mom would be to identify a secure memory care facility where she would be safe and supervised by trained professionals. Fast forward through the next 2 weeks, I finally found a facility with an opening in their secure memory care program. After only one conversation with the admissions department at Tatnuck Park at Worcester, i felt as though I had received an entire education about caring for a loved one with dementia. I struggled tremendously with the notion of placing my mom in a “home,” but after visiting Tatnuck Park and seeing their beautiful private rooms, stimulating daily activities, and evidence-based programs—all tailored to my mom’s personality and specific behaviors—I knew my search was finally over. The amazing team at Tatnuck Park rescued two people from what was the most challenging time of my life. My mom is safe, happier and more relaxed than she has been in recent memory, and I was able to once again live my life, fully confident in the choice I had made. Tatnuck Park has proven itself a wonderful home for my parents. The staff here are superb - attentive, reliable, and beyond friendly. This is the rare place where people actually become friends. The food service is excellent, the amenities and activities are always interesting, and I cannot believe how fortunate we have been to find such a perfect place so well located.
After meeting the compassionate and engaging staff at Tatnuck Park, we knew that we had found the perfect residence for mom. She enjoys the outings, activities, and interactions with her new friends. The facility is very well maintained and best described as 'homey'. Mom plans to enjoy her stay for many years to come.
My Mo moved in June. She came up from Florida and wasn't sure if she was going stay prior to coming up. We'll my Mom fell in love with Tatnuck Park and is so happy here. She loves the food, activities and all the staff, as do I. It is a warm and home like environment. I can't say enough about the quality of service and the facility at Tatnuck Park.
My mom has lived at Tatnuck Park since 2019, first in traditional living and now in the memory care unit, and I could not be happier with the experience there. Staff are caring, compassionate, and patient. Such a friendly and homey environment. There is always something going on in the activity room so there is plenty of chances for socializing. So happy with our experience there and would highly recommend to anyone.
