I remember sitting in the lobby once and overhearing her warmly speak to a resident, recalling not only his five children’s names but also the names of his pets. The smile on his face said it all—he felt seen, valued, and truly cared for. Equally impressive is Cortney, the Director of Resident Care Services. She goes above and beyond, regularly texting with my team late into the evening to ensure every detail is taken care of and that both residents and their families feel supported. It’s incredibly rare to find someone so accessible and dedicated—especially in that role. Thank you, Abby and Cortney, for setting a new standard in senior care. My uncle has received amazing care from everyone at Belmont Village Encino - it feels like a high end hotel!. The dining room staff always treats him like a VIP customer, his Circle of Friends program has improved his memory recall, and he's become happier and more sociable in that group. He loves the outings, the daily routine, the activities and the incredible "pals" who tend to his schedule and needs all day long. I LOVE going there to visit him, and he is always smiling when I see him! THANK YOU to the staff!!!
We just wanted to thank the staff at Belmont Village Encino for all they did during our Mother’s 3 year stay. We especially want to give a special thank you to Ellen, Ana and Miguel! Ellen gave her all to help our Mom through some difficult health issues. She was very observant, kind and communicative to her and the family. And Ana with her lightness and laughter kept our Mom smiling! She also was very attentive , sweet and really cared about her. Miguel in the dining room was so caring and fun and always got my Mom to eat! He was really always there with warmth and a smile for her! Thank you again to the staff at Belmont Village Encino!
We have been very happy at Belmont Encino. My father has been there a number of years and considers this his home. He is treated well, listen to and valued. This is so important... My father is very social and is always involved in the events at Belmont. He has been very lucky to find this place and although there are ups and downs and sometimes issues that creep up, most of the time they are minimal and taken care of very quickly. The staff is very much a family and we’ve been very lucky to find a place where my father has been very happy. We would recommend this to any senior that wants to utilize independent living as my dad has, and the only issue is he’ll never want to leave there — Which is not really an issue!
My husband has been a resident at Belmont Village, Memory Care, Encino , for oner year. He is entirely helpless and cannot speak. My children and I visit him almost every day to check on him. We have been so impressed with the care and attention that he receives. Most every person on the staff is kind and attentive and tries to anticipate and fulfill his needs. When we enter the lobby and the memory care unit it always smells clean and without any medicinal odor. When we pass the dining room for independent living, it is bright and cheerful and beautifully appointed. The food that my husband receives in his unit's dining room is always tasty and nicely served.Because I do come often to feed him I see the food and it looks delicious and smells good.He definitely enjoys his meals. The nursing staff will answer any questions that we might have about his medications and health. Another things that is so nice about this memory care unit is the outdoor back patio which allows us to wheel him outside for a visit. It is large and has nice patio tables to visit at, and perhaps share a treat with him. The staff is wonderful but only as strong as their leader. Ralph Balbin, the Executive Director has brought forth and instilled a very highly expected standard of performance by his staff. His excellence has made an even more positive experience for the residents. We appreciate all of the "Pals" and the care that they give my husband.
