I had a very positive experience at Belmont Bay rehabilitation center. The staff are so kind and patient. And social worker, Isatu, was so helpful. The nurses were so gentle-and I really enjoyed working with the rehab therapists.

This is my mother's phone. If only she could speak today and tell of the terrible care she received from this facility, the neglect, and the way they let her swell up like a balloon and drown in her own fluids and didn't address it knowing that it would kill her AND IT DID!!! I watched my mom decline and this facility did nothing I asked! No transfer, no CT until the Sunday before she died, nothing done when the doctor said I was right and he was also concerned about the nostalgia, no PT as swollen as she was, no communication on her declining health even when asked! All I received was "mom is getting the best care." When I continually made the same statement of her decline, I was told that mom was better than she was when she got there. The lies they tell!!! Mom was alive when she got there, but she's deceased now! It took 2 weeks for them to do what I had already told them they were going to do! I told them they were going to kill my mom in this facility, and I also told my husband that my mom is not going to make it back home from this dreadful facility!!! I kept praying she would, and just when I thought we saw the finish line because they changed her discharge day from the 22nd to the 20th of February, I was planning to pick her up by 11am and take her straight to the emergency room. But, got that piercing/stabbing call that mom had passed! My first words to Taiwo was, "y'all killed her just like I told you y'all would!" Mom couldn't speak it, but I know she is saying, baby, you are spot on. And, you can't help me now, but you can help the next person. I didn't go into all the details because it's so upsetting to even write, especially after you have watched it everyday! Mia Boyd, I know personally that your post is true because I cried many nights and couldn't sleep worrying about my mom in this facility! Your hands are tied when your loved ones are in these facilities collecting monies they do not deserve! My mom was 94, but she didn't have to die the way she did! I'LL NEVER FORGET THIS!!!
Belmont Bay is top notch! All the previous reviews are all true! The staff is excellent! Mr. Darnell the director is very involved with the residents! He is very attentive to his staff, patients, and their families! Anna the nurse is very kind and gentle to her patients and the family! She goes above and beyond her duties! Myra the nurse is very attentive and always answers your questions and is very comforting to her patients and their families! Eddie, Edi, Schvonne, and Soda are excellent and warm to whomever they come in contact with! They are team players and is never too busy to assist! Sam the head nurse is a gem and a pleasure to talk to! He is very on top of his duties and willing and ready to always assist when the need arises! My former student Ms. Charlea the Admissions Coordinator you are GREAT! I am so proud of the professional you have become! You always have a smile and a listening ear! Mr. Darnell Director job well done! Take a bow! Gifty the other head nurse always jumps in when needed for the patients and their families! No job is too small or big for her! The staff is more than excellent! Belmont Bay you are GREATEST!!!! I would highly recommend this facility! Clean and never smells like a nursing home! Thanks for taking care of my love one! I give a five (5) star rating! Ben the therapist is great! He is very patient and is always available to update the families on how their loved one are progressing! He is #1 therapist!!!
The staff is so fantastic they come to visit you and make sure you are comfortable in your stay. I praise Miss Charlia, Miss Maria, Miss April for help with the support staff Mr Coffie and of Mr. Darnell. Belmont Bay has truly been a very good stay for me I’m also including The Physical Therapy team because with their help and support I was able to move freely so with that team with Miss Angela, Ben, James and Deborah and Candace I truly enjoyed meeting them and working to make my stay a pleasure one pleasurable one. All the CNA‘s and nurses have been one of the most friendly and attentive group of people I’ve ever met. I can’t name all, but I wish I can take them home with me. If you ever need a place for rehabilitation, please think of Belmont Bay the staff here is fantastic and I do mean the full staff right down to the kitchen staff , trash, getters and laundry ladies
I had a tremendous amount of anxiety using rehabilitation centers until I met and spoke with Ms April Ranger her professional and personal approach in explaining what to expect and what steps in providing care was beyond approach you are lucky to have someone who really express care in the well being of the patients recovery.
