My mom and grandmother lived in Bella vista years ago and it was really nice then. Now I have a family member that lives in the E building and it awful. It used to be just for elderly and now they let anyone live there I’m guessing all the owners care about is money. Shame on them. I understand that the tenants are ignored and disrespected. The people in the office won’t answer the phones when people call. I say if you don’t like your job then get another one or do the job you are getting paid for. How would they feel if their family members were being treated like this. Everyone is unhappy but don’t do anything about it call the news stations make some noise let the public know how you are being treated at Bella vista. I know people are afraid to do something but if you don’t nothing will ever change.

I have lived here for almost 6 years and have found that it's an absolutely horrible place to live. Management is so confused and fail to inform new residents that there are available benefits available to help the elderly and disabled that have chosen to live at this bug invested establishment. If you have a doctor's appointment, you may not be used to the disadvantages that you will usually have to endure.I say this because there are only 2 elevators in each apartment building that serve for 19 floors in each building.More times than not,one or both are broken and out of service. So,if you have a doctor's appointment that you would like to be at their office on time, think again. If your fortunate enough that at least one elevator is operating, your wait will be a minimum of 30 minutes while you wait for the one elevator to allow you enough space for you to enter. That is if the one elevator isn't being used by garbage collection stopping on each floor. This has caused several arguments among the residents and management fails to remedy the situation until several weeks later. After checking on Google to see the law and if Bella Vista is conforming, unfortunately I read that as long as one elevator is in service, they are legal. It says very little convenience for the elderly and disabled residents that need doctors care on a regular basis.I would hope that our state could legislate an updated law or ordinance that changes it to better serve the majority of the residents that depend on the elevators in order to meet their appointment obligations.
It's not a terrible place to live. Typical apartment living. Nice to have doctor's office, pharmacy, convenience store, luncheonette, and salon all on the premises. Community activities are getting better as well. Movies once a month, lots of bingo, pot luck suppers, holiday get together. In warm weather, bocce and shuffleboard, and community cookouts as well. The rents are income adjusted so reasonable for this area. Even a public transportation stop right here.
Many residents complain about the office staff discriminating against them, only hiring hispanics with European features & people of Northern Italian descent. Staff not fixing anything unless HUD inspections are due, old broken elevators that shake & rumble that are never replaced as they should be, but always shut down for false repairs that are never done. Over charging them for rent & odd things, they dont understand their lease, the office staff is rude & disrespectful toward mentally ill people and elderly residents. The office staff make up violations to get residents warnings of evictions or actual evictions. Past residents who who in progress of suing the bella vista complex found themselves evicted or dead by "accidents" or false suicides after the deceased would tell friends tbat they were threatened by b.v. to let it go. More like a haunted project building complex without close surrounding trees because they were cut down, no flowers or adequate tire / car safe parking grounds for visitors. The main visitor's parking lot in the back of the stucture is too small for the amount of cars that cram into the lot, the dirt field parking lot is a rock fill ridden with giant pot holes + rocks. Tow trucks constantly riding around the buildings. There are about 6-8 high rise project buildings crammed around each other. When you go inside it sounds like a smoke alarm is constantly going on as a "testing" routine. One or both elevators are always broken and there is constant flooding. Infestation of bugs & rodents. While making my medical visits to my patients, I was afraid the buildings would collaps and good reason to, there were always construction teams attempting to repair the roof, but the buildings always crumble apart.
It is March 13, 2025 and the main elevator has been down for over TWO MONTHS! Nothing has changed since my last post below. Attempts to gain information puts you, face first, into a wall. The lady in charge of maintenance would only say that "They are on the way. " in the most unpleasant manner possible. Typical of this place. And then there's Dermot at corporate who says "I feel your pain "but had NEVER returned a phone call to me. Just another corporate shill who thinks I'm an idiot not worthy of any consideration. THIS PLACE IS HELL! PERIOD! Too greedy to buy a second spare part until the working part breaks. CORPORATE GREED AT ITS FINEST! We are "little people" here, undeserving of any straight answers. At least, I've never gotten one. So, this is my previous post. As you can see, NOTHING HAS CHANGED! I can't wait to die, as it's my only escape from here. I, truly, hate this place and wish I had never moved here. LAST YEAR'S POST... I've been here for nearly seven years now and things are getting even worse. It's now dangerous living here as the large elevator is CONSTANTLY breaking down. It goes down (no pun intended) every couple of weeks and nerves are frayed and people are nearly coming to blows. Carabetta doesn't seem too concerned as nobody works on the elevator at night or on weekends and, of course) it always breaks down on Fridays. You would think that it would be SOP to have someone from security handling the situation during peak times but it seems like their phone is often off the hook and one has to call "resident services" and ask them to send someone over to security to get them to move on it. That's harder than imagined, though, because there seems to be a HUGE turnover in many departments. I can't, for the life of me, understand why nobody stays at this job (actually, now I can). That seems to be an ongoing thing here as there are very few people still here that were here when I first moved in. So, for some reason, they're slapping on fresh paint everywhere to impress somebody (who, I don't know but it's aimed at some corporate level) and they even replaced the mailbox (which can ONLY take letters now and NOTHING ELSE , so get in your car if you need to send a small package). How stupid! I don't know how soon the elevator will be working, but if you don't go out very early in the morning or very late at night, then expect to bang heads with people that just want to get home sometime. Should a real emergency arise, it could be life-threatening and why something like access to people's apartments isn't the first priority of this company amazes me. In essence, I'm stranded in my apartment. I can't order from Amazon because my packages will be gone (as in stolen) by the time I get downstairs to retrieve them (it's bad enough even when the elevators are both working). There is less here to appreciate each year although the raging hot water still gets this place a single star. I just hope that tempers are the only thing we lose around here while access to the apartments is so severely curtailed. There's no other way to say this. People, here, live in fear of losing power (many people have oxygen machines that need electricity), and losing the elevators. More than anything else, we're still haunted by these very real scenarios and, until these problems are treated with the sense of emergency they deserve, this element of danger is not unfounded and habitation here is not recommended. At least, not at this point.
