Life is absolutely wild and unimaginable at times. My mother and I were faced with the gut wrenching task where my father, her husband should go for the best care. In the middle of a snow storm we set out to do just that. A day of hope being lost and at a disbelief how there's no way we're leaving our loved one at any of these facilities our last stop was BELLA TERRA. From the moment we walked through the threshold my heart was singing, I knew we were guided here for a reason. The warmth, the hope, the treasure that was Bella Terra was our answer. After 1 minute talking with KANDI DEERFIELD we were in tears. Our miracle was knowing my father would be taken care of as human but more importantly valued as one of their own. The staff at Bella Terra are what truly make this establishment what it is. KANDI DEERFIELD, DOLORES ESTRADA, TOMMY WEISENSEE, MICHEAL FLORCZAK, LAILA ST., My mother, and I thank you from the bottom of hearts the love you showed us in our darkest hours. Please don't hesitate or question BELLA TERRA is your answer.

This place was instrumental in getting my dad on the road home! He stayed here for over a month and I couldn’t say more good things about the care. The care team was amazing, the social worker went above and beyond daily and my dad enjoyed his time here. From physical therapy to food and nursing care he was fully cared for everyday. The place is clean and sanitary and has high standards. I would recommend Bella Terra anyone looking for care for themselves or family member!
*Overwhelming Shift at Bella Terra -Wheeling* *They will try to delete this* My shift yesterday at Bella Terra nursing home was incredibly challenging. I was assigned an unusually high number of patients, which made it difficult to provide the level of care I strive for. Additionally, I was tasked with preparing all the patients' food, a responsibility I'd never had before. This added to my already heavy workload. What made the situation even more stressful was the lack of support from my colleagues. Many seemed unwilling to lend a hand, and some even appeared disinterested, staring blankly while I worked. Also you have to ask for a key everytime I needed some supplies really quick or to get water for the residents. The atmosphere was tense, and I felt overwhelmed. Given the demands of the job and the lack of teamwork, I couldn't justify staying for the full shift, especially considering the compensation. Sometimes, it's necessary to prioritize your own well-being.
When choosing a long term skilled care option for my loved one who was transitioning from assisted living in July, I wasn’t sure what I looking for and I visited several facilities. My decision to go with Bella Terra Wheeling came after visiting unannounced, on a holiday nonetheless. The staff at the reception desk and care teams on every floor were friendly and highly engaged with each other and the patients. Dolores toured me and took time explaining everything I needed to know to aid in decision making. Once my loved one was moved in, I’d visit her often at different times of the day and week and always found the room clean and my loved one cared for. The administrative team is highly responsive by phone and email, and kept that consistent communication throughout her stay. Thank you Dolores, Kandi, Nikki, Luz, Phyllis, Jessica, Tom, Lala, Tess, Karla, Fran, Yesenia and everyone else who helped me with coordination and/or cared directly for my loved one. Huge special thanks to Yadira (Yaya) in Social Services and Nurse Stephanie who put up with me and my constant questions. You are angels and bring comfort to patients and their families. I highly recommend Bella Terra Wheeling.
Mom had a stroke and we called several places to see where we could take her. We came and took a tour of the facility and we were pleased at how clean it is. Met the two ladies in the admissions department,Kandi and Dolores and they were very helpful answering all our questions. We knew this would be a place that would take care of mom. After several weeks we knew we made the right decision. When we take mom for a ride around the facility in her chair everyone is so friendly to mom, stopping to say hello. I would like to acknowledge some of the special people there. Ed the nurse,Luis,Mirla and Dasha the CNA’s,and Navor in the cleaning crew. They all make mom feel at home and that means a lot to us.
