Like so many children of elderly parents, I recently found myself facing the decision of whether or not to place my Mother in an Assisted Living Facility. I had fought the idea for so long because of guilt associated with "giving up on my Mother". But after the year of lockdown, quarantine, and isolation, my Mother’s mental and emotional health were declining which also led to a lack of desire to maintain herself physically . Out of what felt like desperation, I began researching different facilities. I visited several other reputable facilities in Palm Beach and Broward County before coming to Inspired Living. I met with the Sales Director, Amanda, and was introduced to the Director, Damon Thomas. Their professionalism and enthusiasm could have easily been mistaken as a sales pitch, but I was intrigued by the prospect of moving my Mother into a brand new facility. Because this was such an important decision, I met with them a few more times over the next couple of weeks and quickly realized that their care and enthusiasm were truly genuine and sincere. I can honestly say that this has been my experience with the ENTIRE STAFF. I brought my Mother with me to see the community and I honestly did not know what to expect. She instantly fell on love with the building, her “new apartment”, the staff, and the prospect of beginning her "new life" there. My decision became an easy one and one of the best decisions I have made over the years of caring for my Mother. During these last few weeks, I have watched my Mother’s excitement and anticipation totally transform her attitude and rejuvenate a tired spirit. Amy, the Social Director’s energetic and vivacious personality is contagious. Zach, Assistant Director, has made sure that my Mother’s daily needs are met and he always makes himself available both to my Mother and to me if I have any questions or concerns. Jennifer, the Head Nurse, has taken a personal interest in my Mother’s health needs, and she does this for all residents, as I have heard the residents personally talk about this. Jennifer has hired a staff of Nurses and Aides who could not be more caring and professional, which is definitely a big concern when making this type of decision. Angel, Head of Maintenance, gave me a helping hand while I was setting up the apartment, by hanging pictures and putting together some items, and he has done this for all of the families moving in. Maureen, the Head Chef, prepares delicious and healthy meals and caters to any dietary needs. For these residents, it is truly more like living in a boutique hotel. My Mother’s daily "complaint" calls have now been replaced with praise for her new home, caretakers, and new neighbors. She updates me daily to tell me about everything she's done from movies, to games, to cooking, and how “great everyone is” and how “delicious every meal was”. I'm almost jealous of how much she's doing and how much fun she's having ;-) As you can see by the length of my story, the excitement and enthusiasm is contagious. I feel as if the heaviest burden I've ever carried (worrying about my Mother’s well-being) has not only been lifted, but replaced with a sense of relief and an overall peace and calm knowing that my Mother is in such good hands with 24 hour care, no matter what her needs might be. With Inspired Living Delray, you get the best possible scenario~ a new facility managed by an established organization and a staffed by a team of experienced individuals in each of their perspective specialties. Thank you Damon Thomas, to you and your staff from the bottom of my heart.

My friend Cathy has been a patient of memory care for approximately 2+ years. The staff there especially this past year have been very attentive and caring. The unit is always clean looking. I’d like to thank them all publicly for taking care of my friend.
Bella Mar I found to be very up to date , clean , comfortable , and the staff made us feel welcomed . Front desk were so nice and went out of their way to make sure we knew how to get around. We stayed for dinner and it was delicious and once again the waitresses went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.
I toured several places before going to Bella Mar. Most of them were dark, depressing and outdated looking. I found myself walking out of the tours just feeling sad. My tour at Bella Mar was very different. Everyone I encountered was upbeat, positive, caring and willing to help me make things work in an already painful and difficult situation. Having a parent with dementia and coming to the realization that they need more care than you can give them yourself is a horrible feeling. Bella Mar was bright, clean, full of activities and had people who wanted to help me make the transition as smooth as possible. The rooms in the Memory Care Unit are large and modern. The hallways look like a hotel and the activity areas are complete with outdoor courtyards. The staff is friendly and caring. From Tina and Helene at the front desk who know the first names of family members who visit like they are saying hi to long lost friends to Michele, the director, who is available by phone or text at almost any time of day or night, there is always someone to turn to with a question or concern. Michele has helped me schedule doctor appointments, preop testing, even went to a doctor appointment with my mother and I, watched over my mother when I went out of town and has been a patient person to listen as we as a family adjust to having my mother in a facility. We very much appreciate all she has done. It means a lot to know that my mother is somewhere where she is being watched over, receiving her medications as needed, eating well, has made great friends and experiencing a list of activities daily!!!!!
I would give it a zero star if I could. It is absolutely the most horribly run facility I have ever encountered. There is no management on staff ever, there are no doctors on staff ever. The Med text are rude and mean. Any promise that they make you is a fake one. Do not put your loved one in this facility.
