From my loved ones and I experience, Beacon Rehab and Nursing Center is exceptional! The physical therapy program is outstanding, ensuring fast and reliable recovery for residents. The staff is amazing and family-oriented, always keeping residents engaged and happy. The beauty salon and full physical therapy center are top-notch, and the chefs offer a delightful variety of food choices every month. The ocean view from every room, including side rooms, is breathtaking. Social worker Stephanie is outstanding, making the best decisions for post-surgery rehabilitation. The nurses and aides are like family, providing top-notch care. The nursing director is visionary in care, medically progressive with care plans. Which I’ve noticed ensures the entire facility operates smoothly, making Beacon the best at its core. On-site perks include BBQs, birthday parties, and movie theater days. Highly recommend! Thank you for caring for my Dad!
I should give this place 0 stars. They’ve starved my 81-year-old grandfather. They didn’t provide any of his medications. We removed him from this facility to the ER because he had pneumonia and the facility didn’t provide any medication for this. They do not communicate with family members. If we didn’t go to see him every day, he would’ve been deceased by now. Do not send your family members here if you love them.
I am honestly disappointed but also confused by this facility's ranking when it comes to the staff. My family member has only been a patient of this facility for a short period of time and already she has been left for hours to lay in her own waste. The most concerning aspect of this situation is when the issue was raised to the staff, one staff member (Rohan) verbally expressed to another colleague that he simply was unwilling to assist because he "did not have time to do it" as he was going to lunch. While although the colleague did explain to the staff member (Rohan) that she was waiting for hours to be helped, again the staff member (Rohan) openly said "F those people I do not have time to do it." I can fully understand the overwhelming feeling of being too busy but to KNOW AND VERBALLY in the OPEN make this type of statement shows the lack of compassion, disregard for basic hygiene, ones dignity and simple lack of respect for a HUMAN life. Such behavior is not only unacceptable but also inexcusable, especially in a facility that is entrusted with the care and well-being of vulnerable individuals. Any and all patients of this facility's comfort and health should be a priority, but instead, it was clear that the staff's focus was elsewhere. I urge anyone considering this nursing home for their loved ones to carefully evaluate the quality of care provided. No one should have to endure such mistreatment, and I hope this review serves as a reminder to the management to address these serious issues.
Beacon Nursing Home was an absolute blessing for my grandma during her stay. The level of care and attention she received was exceptional. The staff is compassionate, patient, and always made sure her needs were met with kindness and professionalism. They took the time to get to know her personally, which made such a difference in her comfort and happiness.
