I have a parent that lives at Beacon Crest Holladay. The facility is beautiful and always very clean. The activities are great. My mom looks forward to them. The staff is caring, respectful and works hard to get to know the preferences of the residents. Our mom loves living here and she has much more of a social life and better care than we could give her at home. Her health has also greatly improved since moving there. We have had a few hiccups along the way but we expected that at any facility. The food quality can vary and that has been our mom's least favorite part of living here. But they do ask what foods she likes to eat and try to vary the menu or they will make her a simple meal when she wants something else. I do like that the owners listen to the requests brought forward in resident council meetings and implement changes. As a family, we like the all inclusive pricing so the price is the same no matter how much care is needed or not that particular month.

I am the Owner and Operator of Guardian EMT, a Utah County based emergency training program, and we have partnered with Beacon Crest for years in order to provide ALL of their staff members with an American Heart Association CPR/AED/ First Aid training on an ongoing basis. I am very impressed with the fact that their owners and management team have taken it upon themselves to make sure that ALL of their staff has a basic life support certification! When you walk in, you can be assured that the management team, activity staff, nursing staff, and even their culinary team are ALL at least CPR certified! This is an amazing find! For families who are looking for a home for a loved one, rest assured that Beacon Crest has taken every measure to assure that their staff has the basic medical training to assist your loved one with any potential medical hazards that may arise. I have worked in emergency medicine for over a decade, and I cannot express enough how often I have walked into facilities like this and NO ONE makes any resuscitative effort for their residents, let alone REQUIRE that their staff hold this very basic certification. As an EMS responder, I have often left facilities disheartened because of the lack of care and attention that I have found at these facilities. Beacon Crest is a hidden gem and by my account, really sets the standard that hopefully others will follow. Everyone who works at a facility like this should know basic life support because you never know when a medical issue will arise. Whether you are in their dining area, theater room, hallway, or foyer, there is ALWAYS someone there who is CPR/First Aid trained!
This concept in assisted living is not found anywhere in Utah. The views and lifestyle in The Grand is amazing! I feel so lucky my mom can enjoy this time with friends and a staff that we call family. She deserves the 1-on-1 care and gourmet meals made by a professional chef. Thanks to all the staff for making The Grand the best place she’s ever lived!
My parents have been in The Grand for one year. It's been incredible. The facility is gorgeous, and clean. It feels like a nice home. My parents call it "The Palace". The staff is outstanding and caring. Whenever one of the staff members leaves to pursue other opportunities we are very sad to see them go. My parents have been in four facilities, so we know what the competition is like. It was especially great during COVID. The Grand kept an open policy allowing family to visit while still staying safe. There was a not a single case of one of the residents getting COVID. Thank you for taking such good care of my parents!
I was blown away by this hidden gem in the Holladay area! Honestly...even as you pull up into the drive, you know that you are onto something really different and unique. The apartment layouts, each having their own patios or balconies, the elegant living room/dining areas, and the "touches" that make it the ideal place to live! I cannot wait to get my arrangements settled so I, too, can grab an apartment before they are all taken!
