We found a gem when we found Beacon Crest Assisted Living for my parents! We were moving them here to Utah from their home in Michigan, so they could both receive outpatient cancer treatments at Huntsman Cancer Hospital. We had a lengthy long-distance discussion with Dave Meredith, an owner of Beacon Crest, and we were impressed with the passion he showed about what they could offer us. My parents chose a lovely corner suite with one bedroom, a bathroom, and a separate living room with a kitchenette. It was just the right size for two and full of light from the numerous windows. The chef-prepared food, focused on in-season produce, was delicious, and we had many opportunities to have family meals there with my parents. Each of them needed different levels of assistance with activities of daily living, but it was important to them to stay together. The Beacon Crest model was perfect for that situation as they offer multiple care levels in addition to the base rent. During the course of their stay, they both took advantage of the visiting nurse and visiting physical therapist, and, ultimately, they both opted for hospice care in their own space. Communication with the staff about their wellness was very good, and the response time from the CNAs was very quick when they needed assistance with anything! Following my mom's passing, my dad said to me, "I think I'm right where I need to be!" He enjoyed having a fitness room he could use daily, because he had always been active. He found very caring friends among the other residents and the staff, and really enjoyed interacting with them during the scheduled activities. They could go for walks, take bus rides, celebrate holidays, and play fun games that were both mentally and physically stimulating. Musical groups were invited in for their enjoyment, and they even have a hair salon! We all thought Beacon Crest really was the perfect place for both of them!

We looked at a lot of places for our Dad before finding Beacon Crest. We even put my dad in another facility for 1 month and it was a horrible experience for him. He was so unhappy. As soon as we moved him to Beacon Crest, he was SO much happier. The staff is so kind and caring. The food is great - we paid to eat with my dad on multiple occasions. The facility is clean and the activities are actual activities, not just kicking a ball in a circle. I recommend this facility wholeheartedly !
This facility has been such a blessing for my grandma. She feels so loved and cared for every day, and it truly feels like a home. We were looking for a place that wasn’t like a typical assisted living place because it only has 19 rooms so the staff are able to give her so much personal attention. Plus the staff genuinely care about her. From the chef cooking fresh meals in front of them to the thoughtful activities, everything is done to make the residents feel special. I couldn’t ask for a better place for her to be! Thank you Beacon Crest!
Beacon crest is unlike any other senior living facility. The staff is friendly, the house is beautiful, and the food is incredible! I’ve worked in assisted living facilities before and so my family knew what we wanted and didn’t want when looking for a place for my grandma. Beacon Crest’s service is unparalleled and my grandma absolutely loves it there! Would HIGHLY recommend Beacon Crest to anyone in the Draper or Salt Lake area!!!
I am not one to usually leave reviews. but I feel compelled to tell you about my dad's amazing experience at Beacon Crest. My dad had lived in his home since 1964. My mom passed away a decade ago, but my father still felt strongly about staying in our family home. At Thanksgiving time about a year and a half ago, he had some major heart issues, and upon release from the hospital, he wanted to return home. My brother and I did not feel this was a safe choice for him with the care he required. Much to my dad's complete frustration (and honestly some anger), we moved him into Beacon Crest and asked him to give it a month to see how he felt about it. We had toured the beautiful facility and tasted the food, met the amazing caregivers and owners, and we knew my dad would be in good hands at Beacon Crest. What I couldn't see during that initial tour was the sense of community at Beacon Crest. My dad absolutely loves it! He looks forward to mealtimes, activities, events, rides, and everything else Beacon Crest has to offer. He has made so many close friends, and in this facility, even the residents love and watch out for each other. I was visiting my dad yesterday, and he literally said to me, "I can't believe how much better my life is here compared to the life I was living alone in my home." He is happy every single day to wake up and enjoy his time and friends at Beacon Crest. Having my dad live at Beacon Crest is one of the best and most important decisions we've ever made. I highly recommend Beacon Crest to everyone I talk to who is in the position of needing care for elderly parents or grandparents!
