Beach House is the best place for memory care assisted living in the Land-O-Lakes / Wesley Chapel area! Unfortunately, there can be a waiting list to get in, but it is well worth the wait! I would recommend them to any family who truly cares about their parent’s happiness and well-being. We toured the five main memory care facilities in the area and ended up putting our mom at our second choice which had a little higher rating then Beach House due to availability. This ended up being a disaster. The place was militant and abusive and we could not get our mother out of their fast enough. She would cry every time we visited her and looked sleep deprived and exhausted. The staff never even took the time to learn her name. Then, we got a call from Beach House several days before we planned on moving our mom back home with us. It was a God send. Bonnie, the Executive Director had kept us on the waiting list, even though I let her know that we had moved our mom in elsewhere. They had two rooms come available at the same time. They turned the room around in two days and let us move our mom in on a Sunday straight from the other MC facility. We visited our mom every couple of days and she loved it there. Every resident is treated like family! Even the families are treated like family! Traci, the Wellness Director knew the urgency of the situation we were in with our mom and made the move quick and seamless. I have never seen an organization so loving, professional, and committed to their mission as Beach House. There are no uncommitted or mediocre employees working there. Everyone from every department, every shift, is truly outstanding, always worked as a team, and became our extended family. They provided her more love, better care, and independence than we could when she lived at home with us! Our mom’s room had commercial carpet in it which made it feel more like a home, than the vinyl flooring all of the competitors had which gave their rooms more of a cold hospital feel. Carla, the Director of Memory Care makes sure the memory care residents are well taken care of and spoiled! She takes them on field trips, restaurant outings, and has beauty days for the ladies. Our mom was always well dressed, well groomed, had her chin hairs plucked and her nails painted. LOL. The MC residents have the freedom and independence to join in the numerous activities, sit outside, or just roam around their area and visit friends. They have an enormous amount of freedom and choices to do what they want on any given day. Our mom was content in her new home and never once complained or mentioned about returning to her prior home of 60 years which was daily when she lived with us. Some of the memory care residents living here have been here for years, others for months. Our mom ended up being here for a short while since she was already on hospice care when she arrived. We had the blessing of watching the staff routinely care for our mom and provide her with such happiness for two good weeks until she had a severe stroke. We were afraid they would kick her out and make us move her to a nursing home. They did not, instead they ramped up the love and care and shared the grief with us as our mom spent her final week passing from this world. Our family is eternally grateful for all of Beach House staff, each and every one of them, care givers, food service, housekeeping, and even the building maintenance staff who made this place a loving home for our mom and our family during this time. Should the time come when I need to be placed in assisted living or memory care, I hope this place is still around. I could live my final days here with dignity and happiness for sure. Thanks Beach House!

Simply Amazing! Moved my Mom in 3 weeks ago and that experience has been amazing. She is so much happier since she has become friends with other ladies who live there, meals are prepared for her 3 times a day (7 days a week), she no longer has to worry about maintaining her home and so much more. This change has been perfect for her. If you are looking into Assisted Living or Memory Care for someone, do yourself a HUGE favor and stop in for a visit. You will not be disappointed.
It is such a pleasure to work with the staff at Beach house. Beach house is a beautiful place and residents are loved and care for so well. Beach house would be my first choice for my family members who might need to be in assisted living one day. I encourage anyone with loved ones who might need an ALF to check out Beach house. You will not be sorry! Traci Bonnie and Meghan are the best!
I was a vendor today at their fall festival and was very impressed. I met one of their residents and she was very happy to live there. The facility is clean, close to everything, and friendly staff. As a realtor I will be sharing this place with my clients.
***Update 7/22/23 My mother fell today & that emergency button they charge monthly for in case of emergencies, guess what, it didn't work. I was advised by the staff it is because the batteries were dead. No protocol in place for checking such an important item. ***Update 6/7/23 And so it continues. I thought the idea of your loved one being in an ALF is to take the worry & the stress off of the family. This is so not the case. Please make sure that you are fully prepared to be totally engaged & involved. Your loved one will need you to be their advocate...their voice. I just attached 3 pictures, two of my mother's Inogen (portable) oxygen & her emergency oxygen tanks. You will notice that there is no tubing attached to the inogen, which my mother requires the tubing (canula) to breathe. I emailed the Beachhouse & inquired as to what happened to the tubing for my mother's portable oxygen, as without the portable oxygen, she cannot leave the room. I received the picture of the tanks telling me that there is tubing attached to it. This is so laughable. My mother is on a WALKER. She has lived in the Beachhouse for 2 1/2 years. How can you even remotely send me a picture of her emergency tanks (you know for if the electric goes out) & tell me there is tubing on her portable oxygen. When have they ever seen her push her walker & pull the portable oxygen. This is just common sense. And they can't seem to understand why I get so frustrated with them. I thought I was dealing with LPN's, Licensed Practicing Nurse. ***Update 5/19/23 They forgot to give my mother dinner the other night. Had I not gone over there, she would not have eaten. And of course, it's my mother's fault, my mother who has alzheimer's and 2 forms of dementia. The week before they did not check her batteries for her portable oxygen to ensure they were plugged in & my mother couldn't go down for breakfast. Thank goodness her hospice aid was there, or my mother would have missed breakfast as well. Original posted review: Although the Beach House is very pretty & clean, the nursing staff are definitely not up to par. Losing Wendi was a big blow. I am struggling with the lack of communication that their nursing staff refuses to provide. I believe they wish I was one of those who would just put my mother in a home & forget about her. As a side note, in the contract it states that the emergency pendant is provided to the resident when they move in. What it doesn't tell you is that if the resident uses the pendant, they are going to charge your for it. We just found this out in December of 2022. This is an update to my original post Be sure to read the contract in its entirety & pay close attention to the verbiage that works in their favor.. **Response to owner** I am not sure what resident you are confusing my mother with, but my mother rarely attends any of the events unless I come up there and get her out of her room. You can look at all the pictures from all the events that are held at the Beach House & NOT find my mother in them. It's all on FB (of which the Beach House has removed me from their FB page & even blocked me) I am not implying that this is due to the staff not being able to get my mother out of her room, I believe it is just the progression of her disease. Yes, my mother is very happy. She lives inside her head with her 2 forms of dementia and Alzheimer's. She actually still thinks she lives in Sun City in the big house, Freedom Plaza where she resided for over 10 years until she required 24 hour care & I moved her closer to me. Since you feel the need to defend your facility, which I understand, explain to me why pills have been left in my mother's room when it is against Florida Statute to leave any pills in a residents room in an assisted living facility. I don't want to take anything away from the Beach House. Sufficient care is provided and I am thankful to Hospice for providing the additional care my mother requires, like showering. I believe the care would be the same regardless of the facility as staffing issues consist across the board.
