This is a wonderful facility with exquisite dining and engaging activities. I met with Todd and Denis who were extremely smart, kind and professional. They made me feel like a VIP. There are many choices and options to choose from. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. I would consider myself very lucky and fortunate to be at Sunrise at Battery Park. Our family has spent many months researching and visiting various senior communities with and for our mother. The combination of the location, community/shared spaces, activities and apartments are beyond anything else we’ve seen. The minute my mom walked into the apartment she knew instantly it was meant to be her new (next) home. The staff has been unbelievable to work with, with a special thanks to Diana K. It’s truly brought a new energy and joy to my mom and our entire family, knowing she’s moving to something wonderful.
This is an appreciation of Brendan McMahon, one of the managers working at Brookdale. While his title is Associate Executive Director, I found that over the 4 years my parents lived there, Brendan was remarkable in rapidly, consistently, and kindly helping me with every random issue that came up in supporting my parents. Whether it was questions about telephones, aides, finances, etc., he was always there. And with my living out of town, having someone I trusted working at Brookdale helped to give me confidence that my parents were in good care. AND, Brookdale worked very well for my parents. While the price increases were significant, Brookdale provided just what they promised, and just what my parents needed.

Brookdale Battery City is a beautiful and well-run upscale senior residence. The apartments are spacious and bright and the location - just steps from Tribeca and the West Side Highway - is superb. Karen and Angela are fantastic - loving, kind and caring!!
