Only giving one star because I have to, to leave a review. If you have a loved one, don't send them here. They pick favorites and if you aren't one of them, you get treated terribly. They will leave them lay in bed making excuses to not get them out of bed but will sit at the nurses station on their phones ignoring residents care but it's okay because the management team is clicky with the nurses and aides and if you party with them, your job will be secure. One aide drinks alcohol at the facility and state was called about it, the facility still saved their job. I had to call the police for a welfare check to get someone the care they deserved. And if you call the police, they will threaten you with a 30 day notice. They are also so short staffed that they have the therapy team helping run the floor so your loved one also will not receive the therapy they were promised. Think two or three times before sending someone you love here. TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT TEAM!!

The staff is amazing but short handed. Unfortunately that is everywhere. My issue is with Management. I can NEVER get a call back. The only time someone reached out to me was when I left a bad review. Here we are again. My sister is here. She is out of money so I need here approved for Medicaid so she can receive the services she needs. She has toenails digging into her feet but missed the podiatrist appointment because paperwork was not completed in January. She has broken glasses and cannot see. I sat down with Finance AGAIN to try to get everything processed by the end of February. I don’t know if it is done because Finance will not call me back. She had been paying $10,000 per month and we can’t even get a phone call. I am so sorry we chose this place.
The team at Batavia Nursing Care is outstanding! My father has lived there for little over 9 months. Once admitted, we immediately had a Care Conference to address his needs. The room was recently updated with flooring and paint. Although this is an older facility, it does look updated. No "odors". My father loves the food and the entire staff of compassionate nursing and social departments feel more like friends helping me care for him. The Activity director is amazing in providing activities for all residents. The front desk coordinator does an excellent job of planning the transportation. The director of the facility always has time to meet with me. I would definitely recommned this facility! They definitely demonstrate a community of care culture.
I was there from April 24–May 2.2023. I will never recommend this facility to no one. I just had triple heart bypass was sent here by mistake. The nurse Megan and Amanda are awesome. But their aides are terrible. Uncaring and the Dietary is awful . I asked for certain good. They bring me what they want me to have. I asked for water to wash up with I never received it. I had to put my own clothes on struggling of course. Do not send your loved ones there. The Medical should close it down. I don’t care if they do not like what I am saying.
Absolute worst experience ever visiting my family. The staff are the most cold and rude people I have seen. I visited my family during the serving of lunch, and the smell of the food smelled like literal human urine. (My family wasn't given what they wanted either) Among that, there were multiple suspicious smells. Absolutely disgusting. The walls are horrible as well as there are paint peeled and wall trim removed. DO. NOT. SEND. YOUR. LOVED. ONES. HERE. Along with that, they don't take proper care of family here, my family was supposed to go through a set of treatments, and they didn't go through a single one. All the good reviews are mostly staff, barely any of the actual residents and visitors.
