My Mom was a resident at Barton from 2012 until she passed in 2023. Barton was an integral part of my support system for my Mom. They always alerted me immediately if there was an urgent situation. Their procedures for addressing her needs were always considerate of her as an individual. I was able to maintain balance for myself and my family while caring for her. My Mom was safe. She built real community while living there. I’m truly grateful that my Mom was able to live at Barton. The staff was always kind and professional.
I have lived here for 3 1/2 years. I love it here! For instance, the front office is committed. For example, during the pandemic the director Gretchen and the social worker Kristen went shopping for our needs to make the quarantine more bearable. Quite a bit of work! We then also had fun Friday with special treats delivered to our apartments. Rita the financial officer goes beyond the call of duty to iron out our insurance problems, etc..
I would not feel comfortable leaving a loved one here. The nurses are absolutely rude!
Very unprofessional worker's the place smells awful I don't recommend putting love one's there it use to be a really nice place but it has really went to the dog's I don't know what happened maybe management has changed poor management and very unprofessional staff they talk to to the residents like dog's just sad 😔
