My mother has been at BAL for over a year now. Overall she has received excellent care. In particularly, her RN has been very communicative with me regarding my mother's medication and anytime any of her medical conditions flare up. When mother had an issue with one of the aides I brought it to the attention of management and it was resolved. My mother especially enjoys playing bingo and getting her hair done at the salon on site. Her only consistent complaint is the food tends to be not as hot or as heavily seasoned as she would prefer. I appreciate that the facility is clean, smells good, and is in general good repair. Also, I appreciate that any concern I have brought to management has been addressed.

Update: 12/22/22 They still are not staffing as they should. You really need to check on your loved ones on the weekends. A few weekends ago it was just the RN and one med aide on the floor out front. Do not just check out these facilities during business hours. That is the wolf in sheeps clothing. Visit these places on off hours and the weekend! Not having staff puts your loved ones at a higher risk for accidents. The staff get stressed and pulled thin and the proper care can not be provided. The care you think you are paying for is not happening. And I do not need to talk to HR about my previous employment. These are the things I was saying when there. They do not provide a safe work environment which leads to not providing a safe living environment, but they do not like being told these things. They don't care. Plain and simple. It is a beautiful place, but past its looks, they don't care, or at least that is what their actions show. They do not keep a nurse on duty round the clock, and IF there is a night nurse, all they are required to do is clock in and sleep. The floor aide will wake you if needed. Yeah. They fall under different guide lines as "Assisted" living. According to them all that is needed to be on the clock is someone who is able to pass medication, but they don't put that in the brochure. Some of them are not even CNAs yet, because they failed to train them so that they could pass their test. They just throw these people to the wolves who have never been CNAs before. Paper plates and plastic ware is what you get for your money. I would also suggest you not visit your family members in Mem Care too often or you become a problem, because you get to hear all the latest gossip, and when you bring issues to the directors attention you then get lied to and start to feel unwelcome in a place your love one calls home. Visit these places on off hours and weekends. 9-5 always looks good. Those are business hours, but when the office leaves....well that is when you can see how things really work. They will keep abusive and neglectful staff members just because they need bodies, and don't let their "ignorance" fool you. They know exactly what is happening, because it is reported by those who care, again and again. They just roll their eyes at you like "yeah we know, but what are we gonna do about it." And then they do nothing UNTIL they can no longer keep it hush hush. The ones who are genuine and want change are outnumbered by those above them.
My mother is very happy at Bartlesville Assisted Living. She loves her apartment, and the staff are attentive, caring, and professional. There’s a lively atmosphere during the day with activities, meals, etc., and it keeps her from feeling lonely. I’m very pleased.
The lady in charge is super rude and a gentleman from there was telling me they are always extremely mean. Wouldn't surprise me if people got abused or mistreated by her.
Great place for memory care. Staff is very professional and caring.
