The Azura staff at Wirth house in Brookfield was outstanding in taking care of our mom the last 9 months of her life. She passed there peacefully and in the most excellent hands. Maria, the house manager, has been a great asset in pulling the staff, care and activities together as well as being a great ambassador for the residents and being an excellent communicator between the residents, family and staff. She made the experience overall more pleasant than anticipated. Katie is an awesome activities director and made our mom’s stay there so meaningful the entire time. Little did we know that our mom had so many creative talents, Katie kept her engaged and encouraged her with outings, activities and participation. Again, a valuable asset to the community at Wirth house. Hands on care provided by the caregiving staff was outstanding. We would like to thank all those that had a part in creating an environment of caring and compassion, acceptance and kind and loving hearts that surrounded our mom. Mercedes - thanks for keeping mom so comfortable at night especially…..she couldn’t remember your name but we felt that you loved her and cared for her as your own. Cass, Jay, Jake, Evelyn, Rayann, and Veronica…..you all got to know mom so well and anticipated her needs. You were always right there to be kind, comfort and provide for all of her needs. Your patience and dedication were exemplary, your interactions always with her best interest at heart and you too treated mom as your own. There is definitely room for improvement in the food and menu options. Our mom did express that the food was lacking in taste and appeal and we found this to be true as well. Azura has the availability to use St. Croix hospice for additional needs for those residents that qualify. We were able to use this service and they were the best. Mom especially loved her nurse Suave who gave mom and us her undivided attention and the caregiver Dorothy was just the kindest and loving person to help our mom as she adjusted to her own changing needs.

I've found my forever home! I didn't know that places like Azura existed. My apartment is just perfect for me and my Chihuahua, Tia. The caregivers are amazing and I never feel alone as they've become like family and are there for my every need. It's fun sharing meal time with the other residents in the dining room, but at times I eat in my apartment and I'm brought a great tray of food. There are always several options of activities to choose from, but Bingo is my favorite. We celebrate each other and everyone's birthday is always fun. If I had to rate Azura by number I would definitely give it a 10!
Maria at the Wirth home in Azura of Brookfield is a great ambassador for the facility. She knows what it takes to have a welcoming and caring environment for both the residents and her staff. When you stop in you can feel the calming and peaceful presence she has instilled in the home. Azura of Brookfield is a great place. Make sure you stop in to say hello so you can witness it firsthand
Mom has been at Azura for about 3 years now. They hired a new house manager (Kendra) a few months ago and it’s made a world of difference. The staff that is left there are great and really do their jobs! Raven. One of the only workers that have been there from the beginning is wonderful with mom! Kayla is also super friendly and always going out of her way to make sure the residents are good. I’m very happy with the Staff and very happy with the new house manager Kendra! Hoping the good changes keep coming and the staff is appreciated! We appreciate them! Also happy that there are activities again! Yay!
I came across the Azura T.I.M.E. program at a Memory Cafe they sponsored. It was a great introduction to the activities done at the TIME program. This program is exactly what my Mom needed...socialization, challenging puzzlers, games, songs, crafts and just plain fun! The compassion and joyfulness of the leader creates a positive and inviting experience for everyone. Mom looks forward to attending TIME and that is most important. She really enjoys it! I know she is in a loving and accepting place. That gives me peace of mind. Thank you, Azura!
